More right on cue - health care

Well not right on cue but close. Recently I pointed out that Obama's supposed health care solution could not possibly solve the health care dilemma from every major angle; quality, quantity, equality and cost. But he's talking about his plan doing exactly that.

IMPOSSIBLE.

It just is not possible. That's reality. You change one of those four variables and the others are impacted by it. Why is that so hard for some people to see? What I wouldn't have given for some empirical proof to back up my argument.

And today almost as if right on cue, surprise surprise, the AP is reporting that free health care in L.A. is leading to - wait for it - line ups.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Though he'd waited since 3:25 a.m. to see a dentist, a smile graced the face of Arturo Castaneda on Tuesday afternoon as he leaned against his blind man's cane and waited for someone to pull his bothersome tooth.

Like hundreds of others who showed up in the pre-dawn hours for free health care at The Forum in Inglewood, the 50-year-old man was relieved that he would receive the care he needed. Eventually.

(Oh, but he can afford a cane? Joking. Geez, take a joke people.)

Does this really come as a surprise to anyone? You don't have to understand supply and demand curves to get that free means line ups. It just goes to show you, you cant solve all four of those dimensions with mere promises to do so.

That's why people are angry. That's why there is grassroots opposition to this health care bill. You can't get something for nothing, and the people who have been taxed and taxed for all the previous something-for-nothings you and your fellow liberals have promised know it. And guess what, they have had enough.

If that makes them a mob, so be it.
