10 Hard Truths For Liberals - From A Liberal

I came across this video of a liberal discussing why the left has started to lose the cultural and political battles to the right. A lot of this is correct. The good news is for conservatives most on the left don't want to hear this.

What 2025 may bring

At Breitbart, a look towards 2025 and some of the real, and tough issues facing the incoming Trump administration:

President Trump will not have an easy time controlling inflation, a problem that has historically only been solved with economic pain. Securing the border will also be an extremely difficult task, not to mention the question of what to do with millions of people who have entered the country illegally in the past several years.

There may be opportunities for peacemaking in the Middle East, but there will also be new challenges: the Syrian rebels who ousted the Assad regime, for example, include hard-core Islamic terrorists who are already threatening Christians and other minority groups in the region. Russia and Ukraine are still at war, and China is still a growing threat — not just in the western Pacific, but elsewhere.

More broadly, we have long-term problems — the debt, the declining birthrate, the epidemic of loneliness — that will require sensitive approaches. We have elected a president who prides himself on being a disruptive force; the challenge of rebuilding will be our own.

Inflation is indeed going to be a tough one to tackle. The money printing that has happened over the last 4 years make it especially tough to overcome quickly. But the energy policy and the immigration fixes (especially deportation) will definitely have a faster impact than fixing monetary and fiscal policy. That will help for sure.

While wars are a big problem, I have less concern about Trump's ability to broker deals and I think he will make relatively quick work of solving those issues.

With respect to the long term issues mentioned in the article, those are things that will take longer than a single presidential term.  JD Vance will need to step up in 2028.

Tim Pool unleashed

Tim Pool unleashed on uninformed leftist Luke Beasley with facts, and deservedly so. Nothing needs to be added to this, it's a takedown worth it's weight in gold.

Ronald Reagan joke

Ronald Reagan was a fantastic president, he accomplished so much for the United States. But here's why an example of why he was so charming:

Joy Reid as a leftist straw man

When I see things like Joy Reid's completely unhinged leftism, I think to myself, she has to be a plant on the left, designated to push the Overton window further left in the most subtle way possible. Regular Democrats and mainstream media can say "well we need to do something, not as radical as Joy Reid, but we must do more than we are doing."  It's a way to control both sides of the conversation; Joy Reid (and I am using her as just one example) is too far left, the Democrats are in the middle and the Republicans are too far right. It's both ingenious and insidious.

Then I think to myself, "shouldn't Republicans be doing the same thing?" Give ourselves a straw man to disavow.

I always catch myself though, the problem with Joy Reid (as the example, not the singular straw man leftist) is that whatever phony far leftists the left may have set up, they became the mainstream of the party. They took over; they won the conversation among Democrats. It's too dangerous. I consider myself very conservative but I do not want to see the right repeating the same mistakes that the left did; where defunding the police was a serious policy position. Radical conservatism would be as bad as radical leftism.

One way or another, Trudeau is gone soon

Now that he cannot be out of his lifetime pension, Canada's socialist NDP party leader Jagmeet Singh has indicated that as soon as parliament reconvenes in late January, he will push a non-confidence motion to topple the Trudeau liberal government he has been supporting overtly (and more recently covertly) for years. With that confirmed, Trudeau will face an election as early as the first week of March, not making it to his mandated deadline of October.

Trudeau might resign and not face the sting of a likely massive defeat at the hands of Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party, leaving that to his successor (whoever that might be). Whether he does or not, it's not likely to matter, the Liberal Party has no time to recover from their abysmal polling, even with a new leader.

Justin Trudeau is not going down with the ship; he doesn't realize it yet, but he's the iceberg.  Keep in mind this report comes from the CBC, which is Canada's version of PBS but on a CBS level. They are the propaganda arm of the left in Canada. At least one of the arms, Canadian media is without a Fox News; it's 95% leftist.  Canada's next election cannot come soon enough.

Meanwhile in Canada, a second take

Here's some more on the Justin Trudeau government's slow-motion implosion.

Meanwhile in Canada, Trudeau continues to crumble

Justin Trudeau's Deputy Prime Minister quit yesterday. That's like a Vice President resigning. It's a big blow that Trudeau probably (and hopefully won't acknowledge and continue to try to cling to power), despite the fact that he is dramatically despised in Canada (his popular support in polls is in the 20% range).

Chrystia Freeland is no selfless angel.  She's long been rumored to be Trudeau's successor and this move seems to be nothing more than kicking Trudeau when he's down to hasten his downfall so she can step in.  This situation is akin to a situation where Kamala Harris actively participated in Let's Go Brandon's ouster. In more ways than one; Freeland is no more popular than Trudeau.  She might do better in an election than plummeting Trudeau but not a lot better; again akin to Kamala Harris.

His minority coalition partner Jagmeet Singh (NDP party leader), who infamously tore up their governing agreement a couple of months ago, but continued to support Trudeau, also as finally had enough, saying that Trudeau has to resign.  Of course he's again being disingenuous; in February he becomes vetted for a generous lifetime courtesy of Canadian taxpayers. Cynics Realists have argued that everything Singh does is for optics and he is entirely self-serving.  He will help force an 'early' election, but not until he's garnered that pension:

This man is holding Canada hostage to his pension. Horrible.

Facism vs. Communism vs. Socialism

I've posted on this topic before but Dennis Prager does a succinct job of it here:

Misdirected outrage

Here's some background  and then the rantings of BLM activist Hawk Newsome, who is reacting to the verdict of a man who was acting not in the interest of himself but of community protection.  While it is unfortunate that Jordan Neely died, Daniel Penny is not the problem here. What is the problem is the lack of mental health support for Jordan Neely after his mother was murdered. The criminal activity is the misuse of taxpayer funds. Jordan Neely needed help and the level of support is just not there because governments continue to fund stupid things instead of putting the money where it's needed. That is the real crime.

I am not without sympathy for Jordan Neely, he needed help and did not get it. So he spiraled. But convicting Daniel Penny would be yet another injustice perpetrated the government.

Al Sharpton also reacts, but not to the proposed vigilantism of Hawk Newsome, nor another story in New York (see below), but rather something he can grift from - racism in the verdict.  Really Al?

[Note this video continues on after the relevant section ends at roughly 2:54.

Here's something else to which Hawk Newsome was not reacting, a cold blooded assassination in the streets of New York. Luigi Mangione committed an outright assassination on the streets of New York. Where's the outrage on this? Regardless of how you might feel about big pharma, big insurance, big healthcare, assassinations are wrong. Period. Vigilante justice in the streets makes everyone unsafe instead of those suffering from mental health issues and the people they are threatening.

What Daniel Penny did was not vigilantism.  It was reacting to a real and imminent threat. Luigi Mangione was being a vigilante. That's what really needs to be prevented.

Meanwhile in Canada, the surge continues

The latest polling shows Pierre Poilievre's conservative party further ahead than I could have possibly imagined. This high water mark does not bode well for an early election in Canada. Where a conservative victory would immediately grant Canada a more Trump-aligned federal government, the polls are so bad for both Trudeau and his not-aligned-but-really-actually-aligned lackey, socialist NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, that there will not be an early election.

As happy as I am to see these numbers, I'm also stunned.  Trudeau is currently trying to buy votes with a two month tax holiday and I thought it might help him a little.  Turns out, Canadians are smarter or more fed up with Trudeau than I realized. Or both.

This. Is. Massive.

More funny truths

The last one was so entertaining, I  decided to share another. I guess I must be winding down into holiday mode because these lighthearted clips are appealing to me more and more rather than the ones where egregious and nefarious stuff is going on in the waning days of the Let's Go Brandon era.

A little bit of fun

Shocking proof of climate change from the Babylon Bee:

I can't believe I once supported this guy

Now in my defense, the alternative was communist, elitist Obama, but Mitt Romney was a bad candidate, he was a RINO, and his replacement cannot be any worse, and will likely be miles better.

Let's Go Brandon Jr. smiling is offensive

I think I have successfully navigated the last four years not referring to the 'president' by name, referring to him as Let's Go Brandon ever since that moniker arose. Prior to that I used different aliases when talking about him.  That never stopped me from using Hunter Biden's name, since there was so much scandal, so much stink attached to the name, it seemed only right to call Hunter Biden out by name.

But I'm starting to think, maybe Let's Go Brandon Jr. is a deserved descriptive for the ne'er-do-well. I mean I get why he is smiling but to do so openly, is a slap in the face of those who have faced a miscarriage of justice in their own situations.

There's more to to this than just the Hunter Biden situation; the long line of potential other pardons for everyone who could end up indicted, Nancy Pelosi's head exploding trying to not defame Let's Go Brandon while losing all credibility on ethics (not that she ever had any), and perhaps the need to impeach the president for all these unmeritorious pardons to try to put a stop to it.

Let's set all that aside for now and focus on one thing; this pardon was in diametric opposition to what the the president and every Democrat and Democrat mouthpiece was saying for the past two years. Yet there seems to be no sense of shame. There seems to be only seething anger that they look like slime in the eyes of voters for running cover for something they knew all along was a lie.

How on earth did Democrats think this was going to end any other way?  The truth is they were either suckers, or they didn't believe that there would be no pardon. They were either lying to themselves or lying to everyone else. Sew seeds of deceit, and reap the reward of distrust. Now if they don't learn that lesson it's going to be a long dark winter for Democrats. I'm not complaining mind you; they brought this upon themselves.

The George Clooney vs. Obama saga

Look, this is not a loss attributable to George Clooney.  This massive defeat belongs entirely to the Democrat elite. They just don't want to shoulder any of the blame because they're so special. But seeing this internal rancor spill out into the public forum is good for the country one way or another; either the Democrats fix themselves and try to be normal again or they stick their heads in the sand, double down and become completely unelectable. Either way the country wins.

This...is self deceit (aka This... is CNN)

CNN has no self awareness, no situational awareness. I know it was a guest making these claims, but CNN doesn't present a robust challenge to her insanity. That reflects poorly on CNN.

PBS tailspin over Kash Patel

President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Kash Patel as his nominee for FBI Director. It's probably a great pick. The reason I know that is because deep state network PBS is in a mental tailspin over it:

Here's a true tell of how PBS feels about it's viewers, and ergo, the public in general, as well as their likely unpopular opinion on Kash Patel: they are a government agency, they should appreciate the 1st amendment, but they have comments turned off on every video they have on YouTube. I could explain why that is telling, but I don't think I need to do so.  Most people are smarter than PBS and already know why.

Let's Go Brandon pardons his son

Vince Dao sums it up beautifully.

I read a post on X, that was saying Brandon did not consider that by pardoning his son, Hunter can no longer plead the fifth; he could end up incriminating Let's Go Brandon if he's ever called to testify... heh heh heh.
