This goes deeper

I am a Canadian by birth, not by choice. In Canada, as a conservative, the wins are unfortunately much more rare than they should be. Right before the recent federal election, where Canadians were scared into voting Liberal AGAIN, after 10 stunningly bad Liberal years under the idiot Trudeau, we had a snap provincial election in Ontario. It wasn't time for one, but the conservative premier called for one because he was doing well in the polls. Doug Ford won re-election with almost no change in support or representation in parliament from his previous majority provincial government.  All in all, a waste of time and money.

But Doug Ford leveraged the same fear of the boogeyman Donald Trump that now prime minister Mark Carney did, to win.  Everyone in Canada seemed to know Mark Carney was an empty suit, a total dud, except for senior citizens who immediately panicked and got him re-elected.  In Ontario it was a different story.  Doug Ford,  while seemingly good on some issues, was pretty flat on others.  I voted for Doug Ford.  My whole family voted for Doug Ford.  While it was no deep-seated endorsement of the man, it was the knowledge that a provincial Liberal win, or worse a provincial NDP (the socialist party that is officially and ironically called the New Democratic Party) win would doom the province.  Both parties have won in the past and the province has paid the price.  We haven't had a conservative leader since the 1990s.

And we still don't.

I voted for this completely imbecilic boob of a man who might as well be a provincial Liberal party leader. I voted for  Pierre Poilievre for prime minister. He's a common sense conservative who would have been able to work with president Trump (if only), I expected stupidity and failure from Mark Carney and he did not disappoint.  With Doug Ford, this goes deeper.  I didn't expect great conservatism from him but he has really betrayed conservatives, the province of Ontario and all of Canada with his absolutely buffoonery.  His blustery "I'm tough and I'm going to stand up to Trump" attitude is fake.  He's weak and it's obvious.   Not only that, it's so painfully misguided. Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, is making deals with the president and Alberta is doing a lot better than Ontario these days.  She happens to be a real conservative, not for nothing.

It's not just the bluster, it turns out, he can't run a province.  That aside, this latest attack on Trump was pointless unless the objective was to derail trade talks.

I may actually abstain from voting in the next provincial election. A few months ago, I wrote to my local member of provincial parliament, commending him on the job he has done but calling for new provincial party leadership. I never heard back. Either he didn't care, was too scared to respond, or doesn't check his emails. Either way, they've lost my support until something changes.

Canada, WTF?

Canadian Liberal governments have destroyed Canada. And yet, here they are again thanks to a collective national fear of Donald Trump.

PBS tailspin over Kash Patel

President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Kash Patel as his nominee for FBI Director. It's probably a great pick. The reason I know that is because deep state network PBS is in a mental tailspin over it:

Here's a true tell of how PBS feels about it's viewers, and ergo, the public in general, as well as their likely unpopular opinion on Kash Patel: they are a government agency, they should appreciate the 1st amendment, but they have comments turned off on every video they have on YouTube. I could explain why that is telling, but I don't think I need to do so.  Most people are smarter than PBS and already know why.

Sharing for those who have been blinded

...(blinded by the mainstream media and Democrats' lies)...

Here's the shocking truth [video now unavailable curiously...]:

The Liz Cheney firing squad lie

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

The Nazis used this tactic during World War II.  Now the man the media accuse of being Hitler is having this tactic used against him, repeatedly. Thankfully, ineffectively. The mainstream media claimed yesterday Trump wanted to put Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad, which is demonstrably false. Megyn Kelly takes the time to disprove the despicable lie. When you hear the full quote, it's obvious how big the lie is.

These are the same people who lied about Let's Go Brandon not calling 70 million+ Americans garbage. So ask yourself, "Who are closest to the Nazis in reality"?

Hillary Clinton's Trump is Hitler moment

Okay these comparisons are way beyond ridiculous. Hillary Clinton, not at all surprisingly, has hopped on the Trump is Hitler train. Why?  Because of 1939. Wait, 1939????

It's an absolutely absurd linkage but it's happening because Democrats are desperate.  They have nothing; no plans to discuss, not even joy. All they have is "NOT Trump!". So they have to amp that up with Trump is Hitler.  While Donald Trump is floating 'No income tax', all they can float is 'No Trump'. Pathetic and not worthy of leading the country.

20 days until the most important election of our lifetime

There are 20 days until the 2024 election. I try to avoid hyperbole as much as possible. I've heard people say this is the most important election of our lifetime ever since 2008.  I've tended to avoid that and regarded it as hyperbole.  I can think of times that I thought an election was the most important of our lifetime. Ronald Reagan in 1980 halting the real and imminent decline of America under Jimmy Carter was one such time. Another example was the dire need to stop Obama in 2012.  Stopping the election of Hillary Clinton in 2016 was critical, and as it turned out, so was the election of Donald Trump. Then 2020 re-electing Donald Trump was an imperative.  Twice, the most important elections of my lifetime ended with success and twice it ended in failure.  America is still here. So were they really the most important elections of our lifetime?

Yes, they were. But times change, and as they have changed, elections have become more important. Technology is on another level. Illegal immigration is out of control. There are high stakes wars in progress. The deep state is extending its tendrils into more and more of American life. Morality has decayed to an abysmal level. I now believe that this is indeed, the most important election of our lifetime.

In 2020 America decided to roll the dice with Trump. Despite all of the bulwark of the deep state and Democrats and even many establishment Republicans lined up against him and his America first agenda, the roll of the dice paid off.  This election Trump is no longer a roll of the dice.  You know what you'll get; a better economy, America first, normalized immigration, a restored military, a  leaner and more efficient government and plenty more. Democrats want to define Trump by a phony January 6th narrative, but Americans should see through that.

Conversely if there is a roll of the dice candidate in this election it's Kamala Harris.  She's changed her opinions and policy positions more often than they change Let's Go Brandon's diapers.  You can't tell what she really believes, it's all lies designed to appeal to the voters in the room with her at that moment. There's no substance, no real conviction there.  Of course there is an inkling of what her real positions actually are. For example, it's almost certain she doesn't really own a Glock. Tim Walz; that dog don't hunt either.  Her policy positions will be similar to Let's Go Brandon's; her positions will be what she's told they will be.

In reality a Kamala Harris presidency is far worse than a roll of the dice. A Kamala Harris presidency is an outright bad bet. Americans may be willing to roll the dice but I cannot fathom Americans are willing to make a bad bet. That's especially true when there is a really good bet available to make.  You only make a bad bet out of sheer desperation. Americans are struggling in numbers too great, but Americans are not desperate.  The only people who are desperate, seem to be the Democrats and the Kamala Harris campaign.

As a non-American, but one cheering for American success, I urge you in the most strenuous possible way, go make a good bet.  I would also add that it extends beyond the presidency.  If you want Trump to make a difference, you need to vote for congressional representatives and senators who will support his agenda. If you don't he won't be able to do for America what needs to be done.

Trump: Something real.

America's trade imbalance is complicated. It's not a sustainable situation long term.  Donald Trump has a plan, right or wrong, it will have an impact.  Kamala Harris' plan? "Look, I was raised a middle class kid..." That's a soundbite, that is not a plan.  It's meaningless, yet it's her answer to every economic question.

Take away the complexity of tariffs, what Trump is proposing will have a real impact; it will either save jobs or if John Deere decides to offshore manufacturing regardless of the tariffs, they will face a massive increase in the cost of production.  That cost will be passed on to consumers. The consumers will choose alternatives and John Deere will face declining sales and ultimately, likely, hardship.

In other words, Trump is doing something real. Harris cannot even fathom something real.

The real danger for the Trump 2024 campaign

Donald Trump is an infinitely better candidate for president than Kamala Harris. He'd be a much better debater if she musters the courage to debate Trump (she probably won't and that alone is very telling). Trump would of course make an infinitely better president than Kamala Harris. We know this. But there's reason to worry. The Democrats are not playing to win, they're playing to be able to be in a position to say they won.

If you look at the RealClearPolitics poll averages in the swing states (something I urge you to do with caution as it averages polls that are not alike), as of today, Trump still leads Harris in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Georgia. He's only trailing in Michigan, but thanks mainly to a highly unlikely outlier poll. If the entire current RCP state of affairs holds true, Trump will get 297 electoral college votes and win the presidency.

But here's the catch, the polls, particularly including the outliers, have significantly dampened the lead Trump holds.  In fact they've depressed the margins strongly enough (again as of now), that it would be fairly easy for Democrats to pad the vote totals and steal the election in states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.  Those two states alone would swing the election to Harris given enough ballot stuffing. And the Trump leads are a bit tight. You could also add Georgia to the list of possible Harris steals. Maybe even Arizona.

The real danger therefore, is not Trump being unable to win the right combination of states to win the electoral college, the danger is not winning the right combination of states by enough votes to overcome cheating on an epic scale by Democrats in those states.  If Kamala Harris does indeed choose inexplicably popular Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate, being able to cheat Pennsylvania into her column becomes infinitely easier.  If she holds the suspect polls for Michigan, that means any one Wisconsin, Georgia or Arizona would capture the Whitehouse for the Democrat.

The map with Harris as the Democrat nominee should be at least as easy for Trump as it was with Let's Go Brandon, but the truth is, it got harder. Not through legitimacy, but the bar to provably win each swing state got higher.

JD Vance is the next VP

Donald Trump has chosen his VP:

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Former President Donald Trump chose Sen. JD Vance of Ohio as his running mate on Monday, picking a onetime critic who became a loyal ally and is now the first millennial to join a major-party ticket at a time of deep concern about the advanced age of America’s political leaders.

“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social network as the Republican National Convention got underway in Milwaukee.

A solid choice, not my first choice but a solid choice nonetheless.
