Mainstream Media Lies Exposed (Yet Again)

We don't need more evidence that the mainstream media are corrupt propagandists, but here it is anyway:

Canada really is a heartbreaking ship-show

If you live in America and you want to know how bad it has gotten in Canada in the last 10 years, watch this entire video (90% of which is people talking about specific issues). I guarantee you your mind will be blown. It's actually heartbreaking.

(If you want to see the economic situation, skip to 6:40).

The saddest part of this is that Canadian media is 1000% in on the Liberal Party game. There is no Fox News or equivalent here (unless you pay extra to get the American Fox News channel). We are instead fed a steady diet of how great Trudeau was, how great Carney is, how terrible the conservatives are. And you know what?  The propaganda works. Even conservative leaders have to be careful to make sure they look like they see Trump as the bad guy or they will get politically wrecked. It's gotten so bad that that sort of thinking has infected many within the Conservative Party. 40% of Canadians back our common sense Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre. Yet it's not enough to overcome the political media machine that cranks up every election. Poilievre was on track to historically demolish Justin Trudeau, and potentially wipe out the Liberal Party. But as soon as the party switched leaders Mark Carney became Canada's supposed economic savior.

All that while Pierre Poilievre's since removed top political advisor was hanging up the phone on Donald Trump Jr., alienating the Trump family. That's what's called a perfect storm of BAD.

But ultimately it is the Canadian people who are being decimated by ruinous policies, whether they are brainwashed Liberal Party simps or clear-thinking rationale people (conservatives). Canada has become unsustainable and unless there is a change in the next 12 months, it will collapse in the coming few years.

SCOTUS finally fixed it (sorta)

Ending the race-based redistricting - the cheating that has been helping Democrats for 6 decades - has been fixed. That doesn't mean other forms of cheating won't continue and that nothing else in the electoral process needs fixing.  Far from it.  Nonetheless, this is very good news for fairness, for Republicans, and one more thing for Democrats to rant about.

Come the 2026 midterm election night, this will be brought up again and again by the mainstream media as the real reason for the expanded Republican majority and will by no means be a mandate for common sense, er Republican wins.  When that happens, remember to look at this: voter turnout levels and party support percentages. Don't be fooled.

CNN layoffs continue

CNN layoffs are part of a tidal shift. Not a shift to the right, but definitely a shift back from the far left. It had to happen. Mainstream media thought that they could lead people away from their own senses and for a long time it was working.  No longer. Some lies, like climate change for example, are just not sustainable in the face of reality.

So there

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has started off amazingly. And how can you argue against the first amendment? Except if you are in the mainstream media, in which case, you don't really want free speech.

Here's the shocking truth [video now unavailable curiously...]:

The Liz Cheney firing squad lie

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

The Nazis used this tactic during World War II.  Now the man the media accuse of being Hitler is having this tactic used against him, repeatedly. Thankfully, ineffectively. The mainstream media claimed yesterday Trump wanted to put Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad, which is demonstrably false. Megyn Kelly takes the time to disprove the despicable lie. When you hear the full quote, it's obvious how big the lie is.

These are the same people who lied about Let's Go Brandon not calling 70 million+ Americans garbage. So ask yourself, "Who are closest to the Nazis in reality"?

This settles it

The mainstream media gloms on to anything, ANYTHING, they think will harm Trump's chances. JD Vance emphatically puts an end to it as far as the offensive joke by comparing it to the vile Democrats' "Trump is Hitler" argument.

We're done here.  Moving on.

I'm running out of entertainment options here!

I stopped watching the mainstream media, for the most part. It's a rare occasion I watch network or cable television. Why did I stop? Left leaning agendas that I could not stomach were making their way into most every broadcast show. But there was Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and several other options.

Amazon Prime is grotesquely woke, I never watch it, even though there were shows on there I wouldn't mind seeing, I can't support it. Jeff Bezos is a leftist and it has infected the entire Amazon Prime platform. It's exactly what happened to CNN; Ted Turner's leftward bias could not be held out of it's newscasts, and now like a plague, it's infected every corner of the company. Bezos has stepped away from the day to day of Amazon but Amazon is already what it is, a progressive platform. So it's out.

YouTube is a Google platform that's even further left than Amazon.  It's become my number one source of entertainment but the content creators I watch have been squeezed out slowly and systematically by YouTube. That's not to mention that despite the heavy leftward bias of Google and YouTube, YouTube has fallen heavily in love with a ridiculous volume of commercials. It's unwatchable from that perspective. I find myself on YouTube less and less and have become much more selective. From 6 to 12 seconds of ads to 60 seconds of unskippable ads every few minutes is not sustainable. It isn't for me at least. And I'm certainly not going to subscribe to a platform where all my favorite content providers are treated like dirt through shadow-banning, shadow-unsubscribing, ad revenue racketeering or through some other means.

Disney+ was a non-starter for me. ABC is ultra-woke, Disney itself has gone ultra-woke, so why would I buy into that to begin with?  The platform as it turns out, unsurprisingly, is also ultra-woke.

The last refuge? Netflix. Netflix has not been any sort of paragon of neutrality they have worked with the Obama's, trashed history, presented ultra-woke content, etc. But they did have some decent content as well.

That unfortunately has fallen to the wayside for me in light of this:

I can't support Netflix any more.

So now where do I go? Gaming?  Too late, already woke. Rumble? Good platform, not enough critical mass. Fox? Not terrible but it has been slipping since 2020 and Rupert Murdoch's handoff to his kids. X? It's been great since Elon Musk took over, retreating from the uber-woke status, but it isn't a big content provider. It should be, it should become one, Tucker Carlson's show has been great, but the platform needs more; it has the potential to become more.  Facebook? Despite Mark Zuckerberg's recent 'miraculous' (suspicious) turn towards libertarianism, the platform is not really a content platform.  It's more just a big pile of mess. And the platform is not libertarian by any stretch.

I'm running out of entertainment options here! Seems to me a wise person who is either conservative or at least unconcerned about politics, and who had enough capital to do something about my current conundrum, would recognize that it is likely a massively common problem. There is a huge opportunity to create an entertainment platform that is not woke, and is simply concerned about quality content for it's audience. It would thrive. Advertisers may be woke but eyeballs mean money. YouTube knows this as I mentioned above.  That's why despite being woke, they pepper us with ads. The new entertainment platform would not go broke. It would thrive.

Just saying.

Let the gaslighting begin

Kamala Harris was never the border czar?  That's the latest mainstream media mantra, and they are gaslighting you.

RFK Jr was on Epstein's plane

I'm surprised this didn't make more news. My guess is that the mainstream media really want RFK Jr. in the race as a potential Trump spoiler:

We're seeing this more and more

Recently Piers Morgan had YouTubers Nerdrotic and The Critical Drinker (a personal favorite) on his show to discuss Disney's recent parade of flop movies. It was a good discussion but my takeaway went in an entirely different direction, not involving Disney except peripherally .  Firstly, here's their discussion before I pivot away.  Notice there are two other guests to round out the panel debate but meh, who cares.

As I said, a good discussion, but not my point.  My observation is that more and more we are seeing (no offense intended) second tier YouTubers show up on more mainstream outlets.  Let me be clear, neither of those gentlemen are second tier in terms of content. I mean that they are not at the level of say a Joe Rogan or Jordan Peterson in terms of viewership.  Not yet at least.

Why are these people being elevated to mainstream status? Again, I am fans of both of these YouTubers, this is not meant as a slight at them. They are talented, educated, intelligent and well spoken. But why them, why not say Ben Affleck (whom I would be much less likely to watch on Piers Morgan's show)? I think I know the answer, or at least a few possible answers.

Firstly, I already answered it in part; who wants to watch Ben Affleck pontificate on anything? We have already seen him make a clown out of himself on Bill Maher's show. So there are ratings to consider. But then why not Ben Shapiro, who is clearly a top tier catch? Maybe it's because he is already a known commodity. Media is always looking for the next new thing, and when you have people like Nerdrotic and The Critical Drinker who can do just as good a job as guests, you are in the right (perceived) lane as mainstream media.  Furthermore, you can't just keep doing the same thing and expect to maintain ratings. If that was the case, TV shows would all be reruns, music artists  would only make one album, and Gone With The Wind and Wizard of Oz would be the only movies in theaters. New and different don't always work, but they do often enough to be absolutely 100% necessary.

Secondly, Nerdrotic and The Critical Drinker have become a bit more than just second tier. They have over a million and nearly two million subscribers respectively. These are not small players. The media in general is at a point where has to embrace these independent content producers because they are continually losing ground to the likes of YouTube.  As the saying goes, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Unfortunately I think much of the mainstream media, and I'm not talking about Piers Morgan here, have not understood the main lesson here.  The reason people are going to YouTubers, is the same reason they had started moving to Netflix; you are producing crap that people do not want to watch. The woke message hammering in movies and shows is not a winning formula. Ironically, this was the Piers Morgan Disney debate's topic in the above clip.

Disney is still not getting the message it seems.

As an aside, I've noticed this happening more on the right side of the political aisle than the left side.  That could be an observational bias since I watch very little left leaning content, it's hard to stomach for long. But the idea that it's predominantly a right sided phenomenon does make sense. The right has far fewer celebrities and therefore needs more 'celebrities' than does the left.  The right is more open to conversation from outside the echo chamber; we are not a lockstep thinking group. Therefore we need new perspectives, the left mostly does not.

If the left eventually comprehends all this, it will hopefully be too late to save their media hegemony.

Fake News double down

The mainstream media, aka Fake News is doubling down on an already debunked lie about president Trump.  Why?  Because they can still influence some uniformed people with the lie being told often enough.

March 18, 2024

Surprise: Mainstream media lies about Trump (again).

This is why NOBODY trusts you mainstream media. Instead of continuing to lie, maybe learn that distorting the truth to suit your narrative, isn't working. The bloodbath Trump was clearly talking about was in reference to the automotive industry.

Addendum:

February 23, 2024

Nikki Haley is going to lose in South Carolina tomorrow

The question is, how badly.  If it's by less than 20 points, she's going to count it as a win. And the mainstream media will play right along.

Yahoo doesn't like Mayorkas impeachment

Watch Yahoo News (aka Pravda) go a longm long way out of it's way to paint this impeachment as ridiculous (emphasis added):

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. House voted Tuesday to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, with the Republican majority determined to punish the Biden administration over its handling of the U.S-Mexico border after failing last week in a politically embarrassing setback.
The evening roll call proved tight, with Speaker Mike Johnson’s threadbare GOP majority unable to handle many defectors or absences in the face of staunch Democratic opposition to impeaching Mayorkas, the first Cabinet secretary charged in nearly 150 years.
In a historic rebuke, the House impeached Mayorkas 214-213. With the return of Majority Leader Steve Scalise to bolster the GOP's numbers after being away from Washington for cancer care and a Northeastern storm impacting some others, Republicans recouped — despite dissent from their own ranks.

President Joe Biden called it a "blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship that has targeted an honorable public servant in order to play petty political games.”

The charges against Mayorkas next go to the Senate for a trial, but neither Democratic nor even some Republican senators have shown interest in the matter and it may be indefinitely shelved to a committee. The Senate is expected to receive the articles of impeachment from the House after returning to session Feb. 26.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called the case against Mayorkas a “sham impeachment” and a "new low for House Republicans.”

In a frantic scene of vote-tallying on the House floor, the GOP effort to impeach Mayorkas over his handling of the southern border took on an air of political desperation as Republicans struggle to make good on their priorities.

Could it honestly get any more one-sided? They certainly covered the sham Trump impeachments in very different language despite them both being clearly "sham impeachments". It's par for the course in leftist media but it has become so blatant and insufferable that it merits pointing out.

Rules for Radicals hitting Disney now

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
~Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals

Disney is being cancelled by the right, using a tactic similar to Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals rule about isolating a target. That's what happened to Bud Light.  That's what happened to Target.  Next in line, it appears is Disney, as they were one of many companies claiming they did not want to advertise on Twitter / X.  Elon Musk told them where to go with their advertising boycott.  But to be honest, the Disney debacle preceded the Twitter kerfuffle.

This is what happens when the mainstream of America, not the mainstream media, actually don't put up with woke extremism.
