Bill Clinton to campaign for Barney Frank

In baseball it's called the designated hitter.  In politics it's called parachuting in a high profile politician or personality to help out a sagging campaign.  Bill Clinton is going to campaign for Barney Frank.  Is Barney Frank really in trouble? A recent poll indicates things are closer than Frank would like.  But Frank should be safe.

What's interesting is that playing defence here for the Democrats means Bill Clinton isn't somewhere else helping out what should be a bubble candidate.  The fact that Frank is being helped really seems like the Democrats are circling the wagons around the core leadership team.  That just means there's more room for Republicans to operate unchallenged in other battleground races.

  1. Hello,

I came across this post today and wanted to share a video you might enjoy: http://www.newsy.com/videos/poll-bill-clinton-most-popular-u-s-politician/

The video is analysis of various reactions to the latest WSJ/NBC poll results, which state that Clinton was ranked our nation’s most popular politician, gathered in clips & quotes from a few different news outlets. It seems like people are definitely split in their opinions about whether or not the Democratic Party is making a good choice in having Clinton campaign for high-profile candidates like Frank.

If you find our video interesting, I hope you’ll consider embedding or linking to it in your blog. I thought it would be a nice update on your original blog post for your readers who may have not heard about the poll yet.
