President Obama has a new plan to save the economy. Guess what, it's another spending stimulus. Wait, THIS stimulus will solve the problem? $787 billion was spent last year on a stimulus bill that was supposed to keep the unemployment rate below 8%. Didn't work. Now the President, just in time for the mid-term election wants to spend another $50 billion to kick start the economy. How many ways is that wrong?
(1) If $50 billion will do it, why did we waste $787 billion last year?
(2) If $787 billion wasn't enough, $50 billion is a mere pittance that will do nothing. Not a ripple.
(3) This is obviously a political ploy designed not to help the economy but Democrat representatives in need of a re-election boost.
(4) It's brought to you by the same crew that flubbed the first stimulus, in other words it's probably just as poorly designed.
(5) It does nothing to repeal the health care bill.
(6) More deficit, more debt.
(7) It is rumored to include rebuilding airport runways. Just, uh...is that something urgent?
(8) Democrats are running from the President right now and they probably won't get around to, or even considering, voting on a bill of the President's ideas. WAIT, that's a good thing.
UPDATE: I know President Obama is talking about extending the tax cuts now, but that's something he doesn't deserve to take credit for doing. Same is true for the current Congress.

If I could vote 3X, I would in November. But, alas, they know my face in the Big Brother Scan. Dumbass.
ReplyDeleteYou CAN vote three times in November. Once in 2010, once in 2012 and once in 2014. After that your quota is up.
