What is wrong with you people?

Hamas is a sick and twisted terrorist organization, Yet many countries want to create a Palestinian state; which would seem to be an attempt to appease them (at least from the perspective of Hamas, and other radical Islamists. Whether Palestine deserves statehood is another question and it must be completely removed from the Hamas situation.  Hamas must be eradicated before any recognition or even discussion of Palestinian statehood occurs.

This article explains it perfectly:

On Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas launched a brutal assault on Israel. As 5,000 rockets slammed into civilian targets, terrorists massacred at least 1,200 Israelis, wounded about 3,500, and took 251 hostages. They raped, eviscerated, mutilated, beheaded, tortured, and incinerated their victims. At least 75 hostages have died, and about 20 remain in captivity.

Prior to the attack, 137 UN member countries recognized Palestinian statehood. Apparently unbothered by Hamas’ savagery, and distressed by Israel’s aggressive military response, 10 additional nations recognized Palestine after the attack. In the last month, Australia, Britain, Canada, and France provisionally joined them. Led by France, the European Union and 18 countries signed declarations criticizing Israel for defending itself and signaled that they too are poised to recognize Palestine. The United States is the last permanent member of the UN Security Council refusing to go along.

International support for a two-state solution obstructs ceasefire talks and “encourages and rewards” terrorism, Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded, while senior Hamas political bureau member Ghazi Hamad observed that Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack brought the Palestinian cause to the forefront, and “is why all the countries are starting to recognize a Palestinian state.” Israel’s chutzpah in defending itself is the other reason.

...The global demonstrations against Israel, violence against Jews on U.S. campuses, and Israel’s diplomatic isolation are rooted in rampant antisemitism and Marxism. But for Donald Trump and evangelical Christians, the world could lose the birthplace of Western civilization and the only democracy in the Middle East. If that happens, believe the aggressors: The United States is their next target.

Appeasement never works as intended.

Democrat flip flop from 2012 still matters today

In 2012 I shared a post about Democrats flip-flopping on their stance on Israel and Hamas. Back then the Democrats were tacitly trying to hold together a fragile coalition that included groups who apparently despise each other - to this day.

Here's an excerpt:

The Democratic National Convention, reeling from today’s chaotic fiasco surrounding the reinsertion of pro-Israel, pro-God language into the party platform, has announced that President Obama personally intervened to ensure that that language was revived. But Politico is now reporting that President Obama approved the original, Jerusalem-less, Hamas-less language less than a fortnight ago. He didn’t try to change the platform “until after Republicans jumped on the omissions of God and Jerusalem late Wednesday.” And his own party was clearly against it – the people on the floor of the convention probably didn’t even vote in majority numbers for the reinsertion of pro-Israel, pro-God language. They booed Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the DNC chairman, off the stage after he rammed through the measure on the third vote.

Their fragile coalition is fracturing finally. They can only hold the lies to both sides together for so long, and apparently that's about 12 years.

RFK Jr's facts on Israel are good, but...

I'm no fan of Robert F Kennedy Jr..  He often says things that conservatives agree with but he's not a conservative. He's right on many things, but not enough of them to garner my support. He's far left for example on climate activism. In fact, I would not put it past Democrats to have positioned him as a Manchurian candidate for independents, libertarians and conservatives so as to stop them from voting for Trump.  Call me a skeptic.  Granted I was skeptical of Trump initially too, but while he is an imperfect candidate he did well and will do well again when he wins again.

Back to RFK Jr. As I said, he gets some things right, and I'm not afraid to share it when he does.  His latest proclamation on Israel is spot on:

“Any other nation that was adjacent to a neighboring nation that was bombing it with rockets, sending commandos over to murder its citizens, pledging itself to murder every person in that nation and annihilate it, would go and level it with aerial bombardment,” Kennedy said.

“But Israel is a moral nation. So it didn’t do that. Instead, it built an iron dome to protect itself so it would not have to go into Gaza.”

He said Hamas gave Israeli leaders no choice after fighters stormed into Israel on October 7, killing 1,200 people and capturing 253 hostages, according to Israeli tallies.

He goes further, as Breitbart points out:

Rather than pressuring Israel, Kennedy said, the U.S. should be pressuring states that currently support Hamas.

He's exactly right.  If Mexico or Canada was doing that to the United States, how would you expect America to react?  The response would be swift and total. So don't be hypocritical

Here's the interesting thing about his position on Israel. Politically this is a problem for Let's Go Brandon; as he bleeds support from far left Gaza/Hamas supporters (or sympathizers) he's been left with his weak Israeli support to bolster his support. But if RFK Jr. is going to siphon off support, this would come from Let's Go Brandon supporters more so than Trump supporters.  Trump supporters who are pro-Israel already know what he has done for the country; recognizing Jerusalem as the capital, the Abraham Accords are two big items.  They aren't about to shift to RFK Jr. based on his truthful pronouncements about Hamas.

Escalation in the Middle East

U.S. and Iran leaning into the regional conflict between Israel and Hamas:

From the river to the sea = genocide. No question.

What the pro-Palestinian chant "from the river to the sea"  actually means is genocide of the Jewish people in Israel.

A history lesson on Israel and Palestine

So many unintentionally or intentionally protesting for Hamas don't know history.  Here's a short lesson from 2011.

Video evidence of Hamas rocket fail

The left is so delusional that many won't accept video evidence or even that Let's Go Brandon and U.S. intelligence say it was a failed rocket launch from within Gaza by either Hamas or a splinter group that caused the accident in Gaza.  I say accident because it's no longer even clear it hit a hospital.

Left enables Hamas, lives to regret it

Two examples of the left betting on or supporting Hamas, and not liking either the impact of their support in the case of Harvard, or realizing they are backing murderers (as TMZ had to denounce BLM for their support).

Support evil and you are evil, period.

Geopolitics of Hamas and Israel

Remember when president Trump was leading the United States and Middle Eastern countries were signing peace deals with Israel?  Good times, good times. But after Let's Go Brandon 'acquired' 81 million votes to become president one of the things he's done was to give Iran $6 billion because apparently he can't give everything to Ukraine.  Anyway, Iran is a primary sponsor of Hamas, and weeks after the 'humanitarian aid' Hamas rains down rockets on Israel.  This is not a coincidence. It's not even stupidity on Let's Go Brandon's part.  There are a lot of Hamas sympathizers in his inner circle. It is at a minimum unintentionally deliberate.

Here's Peter Zeihan's take (keep in mind he's a Democrat-leaning analyst and is giving Let's Go Brandon credit for the work the Trump administration did in the Middle East.  Otherwise the fallout and what to look for portion of his take is worth noting).

This is surprising in as far as the timing.

Obama's Middle East Policy - Does It Exist?

With Israel using an Iron Dome to halt the rainfall of missiles into Tel Aviv, and Egypt seemingly set to step in on the side of Hamas, with Iran so close to nuclear capability, one has to wonder if president Obama not only slept through the 3 a.m. phone call, he may have slept through the entire foreign policy portion of his presidency.  Obama's Middle East policy does not exist, everything he's done so far has been static isolated, flat-footed reaction to events moving at a pace he can't cope with.

The real question isn't whether Obama has a Middle East policy, but rather whether he can develop one before events in the region get out of hand.  Actually, I'm being overly harsh; the president has stated some policy on the Middle East.  What's missing, is strategy.

Medvedev endorses...Obama?

According to Big Government, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said he wants his US counterpart Barack Obama to win re-election next year. His fear is that the two men's efforts to improve ties may falter under a new administration. There's a great endorsement - the leader of an autocratic regime, being led by those who want to consolidate power for themselves. Perhaps he's looking for Obama to return the favor as Medvedev may have to fend off a challenge by the sure-to-return Putin next year as well.

Civil Discourse for Thee, But Not for Me.

And some Democrat double take to go with the Obama double take.  Let's see...Bush = Hitler,  Christie = Gaddafi ,  Walker  = Mubarak,  Conservatives can STFU and violence is okay if it supports Hamas (or the SEIU).  But conservatives are the crazed radicals? Conservatives are the ones not using civil discourse? Civil discourse for thee but not for me indeed.

We all know Democrats are full of double standards and hypocrisy.  But while they get away with it less and less, it doesn't stop them from trying.

Israel is right

Israel is right about settlements and the Obama White House is in a snit over an apparent diplomatic slight. Get over it guys! Israel has far greater concerns than Joe biden or Hilary Clinton, especially since the current administration has displayed animus towards Israel almost since day one.

Hamas is dangerous

How do you possibly negotiate with people like this? These people are terrorists, and they support terrorism. I do not envy Israel.

Brit stars attack Israel under false pretenses

Oh, okay. The British entertainment industry are speaking out against Israel. It's all Israel's fault that civilians are being killed, is that it?

Singer Annie Lennox and former model Bianca Jagger joined human rights campaigners to call on American president elect Barack Obama to speak up against the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

Former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone and the comedian Alexei Sayle also added their support to the campaign to end the violence.

I guess they weren't paying attention when Hamas was killing Israeli civilians. Aside from the obvious hue and cry that they raise and their attempt to sway public opinion towards compassion and humanity and blah, blah, blah, what's the common background of these concerned stars?

British comedian Alexei Sayle is apparently Jewish and ashamed of Israel. I didn't realize he was Jewish, but I was aware of the fact that he was an avowed socialist. Apparently Annie Lennox has some socialism in her family background, and although she claims to avoid party affiliation, she does work with Amnesty International and Greenpeace. Bianca Jagger was a big supporter of Daniel Ortega, the former Nicaraguan dictator and socialist. And Ken Livingstone, former London mayor, is definitely a socialist.

[Photo from the 2006 U.N. rally.]

There seems to be a bit of a common thread. It's all a little clearer. Anti-Americanism, anti-Israeli, but for reasons other than what is professed in public. In 2006 Arabs and communists rallied at the U.N. with chants of death to Israel. Nice. It's a common enemy thing. Just thought I should bring these facts to the table when the conversations come up.
