I'm not proud of it, but Bill Maher seems to be on the side of common sense here, matching what I was previously pointing out about pro-Palestinian Gaza protests university campuses:

Video evidence of Hamas rocket fail

The left is so delusional that many won't accept video evidence or even that Let's Go Brandon and U.S. intelligence say it was a failed rocket launch from within Gaza by either Hamas or a splinter group that caused the accident in Gaza.  I say accident because it's no longer even clear it hit a hospital.

Um...

This is surprising in as far as the timing.

Palestinian Statehood

The trail of misery continues. According to Yahoo, the State Department is going to push, hard, for Palestinian Statehood.

"We're going to be working hard to see what we can do to move the process forward. But we're under no illusions. It's not going to be easy," said State Department spokesman Robert Wood.

"We have to engage constantly and remind the parties of their obligations and to try to set up a framework, a process for getting us toward that goal of a two-state solution," Wood added, referring to the goal of separate Israeli and Palestinian states, living side by side in peace.

Yeah, because $900 million to rebuild Gaza was not stupid enough on it's own. Chamberlain-esque appeasement or just liberal delusion? Why do this? Oh yeah, I forgot - Darth Obama - we're living on the dark side now.

Benjamin Netanyahu meanwhile is making up for the Obama administration by actually making sense. He said if the US doesn't do something about Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, Israel would do so.

Nice! Someone has some fortitude!

The answer to Israel from the Obama administration? *crickets chirping* Then again, that's better than Joe Biden saying something asinine right about now.

Brit stars attack Israel under false pretenses

Oh, okay. The British entertainment industry are speaking out against Israel. It's all Israel's fault that civilians are being killed, is that it?

Singer Annie Lennox and former model Bianca Jagger joined human rights campaigners to call on American president elect Barack Obama to speak up against the Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

Former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone and the comedian Alexei Sayle also added their support to the campaign to end the violence.

I guess they weren't paying attention when Hamas was killing Israeli civilians. Aside from the obvious hue and cry that they raise and their attempt to sway public opinion towards compassion and humanity and blah, blah, blah, what's the common background of these concerned stars?

British comedian Alexei Sayle is apparently Jewish and ashamed of Israel. I didn't realize he was Jewish, but I was aware of the fact that he was an avowed socialist. Apparently Annie Lennox has some socialism in her family background, and although she claims to avoid party affiliation, she does work with Amnesty International and Greenpeace. Bianca Jagger was a big supporter of Daniel Ortega, the former Nicaraguan dictator and socialist. And Ken Livingstone, former London mayor, is definitely a socialist.

There seems to be a bit of a common thread. It's all a little clearer. Anti-Americanism, anti-Israeli, but for reasons other than what is professed in public. In 2006 Arabs and communists rallied at the U.N. with chants of death to Israel. Nice. It's a common enemy thing. Just thought I should bring these facts to the table when the conversations come up.
