Just spit-balling here...
Just a quick thought; if jobs are being replaced by automation and AI, and if the left is pushing for Universal Basic Income, and also pushing for the draft, then...
Is it crazy to think that all jobs are going to disappear and be replaced with some form of compulsory government service (including a draft) in exchange for the Universal Basic Income? Does all of civilization end up being in one army/navy/air force or another? And does the military-industrial complex seek out wars for both profit and the leftist ideal of population control?
I'm just spit-balling. It's a bit of conspiracy theory but as a puzzle, the pieces do kind of fit together.

French leftist parties collude with French centrists
In France, the leftist and "centrist" parties are having candidates drop out for the second round of voting to stop the conservative parties from winning an outright majority. Why would the centrist parties do this with the left? Either they are leftists themselves, or they are being spiteful about their loss, or they realize that they will disappear if there are only left and right candidates holding the vast majority of seats. They don't want to be irrelevant. France may yet succumb to the self inflicted status quo they don't want because of this, joining the U.K. in the sadly, seemingly unstoppable drift leftward that has plagued most of western society, despite the growing desire to stop it.

When you live in a bubble, the truth is shocking
The 'star' witness in the case against Trump, Michael Cohen, just admitted yesterday that he stole from the Trump organization. He's already been established as having lied to congress. This is the star witness.
Why this shocked Jake Tapper is only explicable due to the fact that he lives in the leftist bubble. They hear only what they want, and ignore the rest. It's cognitive bias.

RFK Jr. will get next to no votes now
WAS THIS DELIBERATE? RFK Jr. announced his VP running mate, Nicole Shanahan, and she is a raging leftist establishment type. He's shot any chance of a successful presidential campaign in the foot. I'm not sure what the strategy was here; RFK Jr. may feel he's garnered as many conservative supporters as he could and is now making a play to pull voters from Let's Go Brandon's base. He certainly stands to lose some of his independent supporters as a result of a radical leftist pick. And it's hard to see how the left will gravitate to RFK Jr. when they seem to think a defense of democracy is the most pressing issue facing America in 2024. They'll have to vote for Let's Go Brandon out of fear (aka TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome). But maybe, this was a deliberate self-sabotage.
Here's how Politico described her:
Nicole Shanahan, the 38-year-old lawyer and investor who will now be Kennedy’s running mate, provides a helpful injection of cash to the campaign, having donated more than $4.5 million to his bid thus far.Shanahan is a longtime staple of the Silicon Valley scene as an early AI executive, an ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin and, according to the Wall Street Journal, an alleged one-time paramour of Elon Musk. But potentially more significant than the money she delivers is the way her politics squares with Kennedy’s existing supporters, and what it means for U.S. party alignment.Looking at Shanahan’s track record, she at first seems the paragon of a loyal Democrat: She contributed to Hillary Clinton in 2016, Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg in 2020, and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), her local representative. She was a major donor to Measure J, an anti-incarceration California ballot initiative, and her Bia-Echo Foundation names “the world’s greatest challenges” as “Reproductive Longevity & Equality, Criminal Justice Reform and a Healthy and Livable Planet” — which, whatever it actually does, manages to invoke a lot of progressive-sounding buzzwords. That might make her selection jarring, considering RFK Jr.’s campaign has thus far appealed to a more right-leaning crowd.
It's clear where RFK Jr. is looking to expand his voter appeal; leftward. I don't think it really helps him win anything. But it could torpedo his support and maybe that was the point. It's long been argued that he will pull more support from Let's Go Brandon than he will from Trump, maybe this was a way to end his own campaign so that anti-Trump support drifts back to Let's Go Brandon out of that aforementioned fear of Trump.
As of Monday, per RealClearPolitics polling averages, Trump held a popular-vote lead of 1.7% in a hypothetical one-on-one rematch.Trump’s advantage, however, rose to 2.3% in the current five-way race, which includes Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independents Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
So if he is trying torpedo himself it would be a good strategy. But it honestly draws potential support from the wrong side if that is the case. The only way it works as that plan is if it doesn't help him in the polls and he withdraws from the race. It seems likely he will bleed almost as much support as he gains from this move, if not more.
Worse still, she's such a big tech investor type, it almost undercuts his big pharma skepticism that has garnered a lot of support from the types who hate Let's Go Brandon but cannot pull the lever for Trump. It's an odd enough move I could see him bleeding support from both sides. The impact will shake out over the next month.
Here's a good longer form take on it:

RFK Jr. is not a populist
From the beginning I didn't understand why conservatives and libertarians were giving RFK Jr. a pass. I mean fundamentally when he was running a primary against Let's Go Brandon, I understood why: it was to divide Democrats and negatively impact their votes. But suddenly RFK Jr decided to run as an independent and I wondered, why didn't conservative pundits see this coming? All the while they were giving runway to RFK Jr to steal away votes not from Let's Go Brandon but rather from Donald Trump.
Even if he were a serious contender for president, this is concerning enough to disqualify him from consideration:

How to use the left's media against itself
Political jiu-jitsu: Tim Pool talks about this leftist Reddit site mocking COVID vaccine resistors who got fired. But there happen to be a lot of frontline workers among those fired for refusing the vaccine. The trick to get the left to use it's media against themselves? Allow them the opportunity to mock you for doing good things. They'll blow it up among themselves, and some of them might come to a realization that they are being complete...jerks, by denigrating people who have good intentions. I mean not a lot of them, but anyone with any human decency would think twice about this sort of behavior. They are potential future allies.
But even more importantly, would you have had any idea of the level of resistance to vaccine mandates if you had not seen this Reddit?

It's just a COVID question; no cancelling allowed
Why?
Could it have something to do with the fact that the same party that unilaterally foisted Obamacare on America is trying to use the pandemic to foist single payer (government) health insurance on the entire nation? Are they trying to leverage the pandemic to evolve a scenario where centralized health care appears to be the only option? As the pandemic drags into towards a second full year, the administration that promised a quick end with the supposedly "nothing to do with Trump" vaccines available, is continuing to up the COVID problem with intense hysteria-generating hype and illegal mandates.
Why?
Who benefits from COVID mutations and continuing lockdowns and mandates? Mostly nobody. But Big Pharma does. And Democrats do too but only under certain conditions. Continued use of the pandemic pits one leftist (Rahm Emmanuel) rule "Never Let A Crisis Go To Waste" against another leftist Alinsky Rule "A tactic that goes on too long becomes a drag". Two years of COVID hysteria are a drag to everyone, leftist foe and ally alike. They risk losing support from their base by dragging this on to long. So what's the potential upside? If they can nationalize health care, they can achieve a longtime socialist goal as well as regain, likely even up the level of support from their base of support.
But how?
It's going to be argued as the only financially viable option, as this obscenely progressivist Newsweek article, full of erroneous arguments claims:
When the benefits of one country's investments in public goods spill over into other countries, international coordination is needed. When these spillovers are global—as is the case with pandemic preparedness and early response—this international coordination must be global. The same principles should hold to payments—contributions should be universal and progressive. All countries that benefit, which is to say all countries, should pay something. Countries with the largest and most open economies should pay the most—both because they are able and because they gain the most in economic terms from pandemic prevention.
Not only are they haphazardly arguing for nationalized health care, but rather globalized health care, at least relative to pandemics, with richer countries like the U.S. paying a disproportionate share of the global cost.
Is this what you progressives really want?
