A Democrat cheating to win? Say it isn't so.

This guy (Omar Fateh, running for mayor in Minneapolis) was just following the Democrat playbook; cheat to win. That said, Asmongold's assessment at the end seems fair:

Pam Bondi, smooth as glass. Democrats, not so much

Pam Bondi comported herself well during her confirmation hearings for Attorney General, unlike some people in the room. You know who looked like idiots during Pam Bondi's senate confirmation hearings? Democrat senators.

Here's the entire hearing session, unfiltered for reference.

Mitt Romney moves left of Tulsi Gabbard

I apologize for ever supporting this guy.  I did so out of obligation, because I thought Obama was far worse.  Apparently not, too many of those in Washington D.C. are exactly the same, regardless of political party.  I'm not saying get rid of them all, there are quite a few good politicians who want to do the right thing.  Tulsi Gabbard, is one such example.  Although she's a Democrat, at least she wants to do the right thing. If the election was between her and Romney, I'd take her over a dozen Mitt Romneys any day.

This doesn't mean I've moved left and would start supporting Democrats, it's merely a realization of two things: (1) not all Republicans deserve our support, so we should work hard to ensure our nominees are solid for ANY political position.  And (2) some Democrats are reasonable and intelligent and want the best for the country despite being Democrats.  They sadly, are a small minority in that cabal.

Maybe we could trade Romney for Gabbard?

Google founder Larry Page skirting the system on health care

About a year ago Google co-founders Larry Page Sergey Brin stepped down as leaders of Google and Alphabet. Page, who has supported many liberal causes, appears to be taking advantage of the perks of wealth and is being less egalitarian when it comes to the health of his family.

According to Market Realist:

While Larry Page may not be a registered member of either the Democratic or Republican party, he has given money to Democratic candidates' campaigns. His political donations suggest that he is more liberal. Page has donated to campaigns that support same-sex marriage. He has also supported ballot measures on alternative energy.

...Google doesn’t hire staff based on their political affiliation. However, if political campaign donations by staff members are anything to go by, Google is still heavily liberal. For the 2020 election cycle, 88 percent of Google staff donated to Democrat candidates compared to 12 percent who donated to GOP candidates, according to the OpenSecrets website.

Democratic candidates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren received particularly strong financial support from Google staff for their presidential bids. Interestingly, Google continued to donate to Warren despite her proposal to break up the company and other big tech companies to curb their influence.

But in recent news, it appears Larry Page was granted special treatment in New Zealand when health care was required.  According to Stuff, Page is considered a New Zealand resident under some questionable conditions related to the health of his son. It seems that where his family's health is concerned, the liberal Page, is willing to use his wealth in ways that might shock progressives:

Kiwi businessman and philanthropist Sir Stephen Tindall, who knows Page personally, confirmed Page visited New Zealand because his young child required hospital treatment in Auckland.

Page, who is reportedly spending the Covid-19 pandemic in Fiji, has since left New Zealand, Tindall said.

Meanwhile, it was revealed in Parliament on Thursday afternoon that Page and his child were evacuated to New Zealand aboard a Kiwi air ambulance. The billionaire went into isolation on arrival, while his child was treated at Starship.

The article noted that billionaire Larry Page applied for a $10 million investor visa three months before he went into managed isolation at an Auckland hotel, while his child was treated in hospital. I wonder if Bernie Sanders would approve of this? That's rhetorical, publicly Bernie would pitch a fit but privately he would likely be fine with it because Bernie's a typical two tier socialist, just like Page; socialism for thee, special status for me.

Watch how this unfolded and the depositions that resulted.  Project Veritas is assaulted constantly, often in abusive manner, by the left for their efforts to expose malfeasance from organizations on the left.

Warren out, finally.

I guess it's time for that Tulsi Gabbard surge...

This may have come too late for Sanders but he could still benefit from her withdrawal.  It sure looks like the Democrat party has lined up things for Joe Biden to ensure a nomination for him.

Is Bernie Sanders going to have to drop out?

According to Breitbart, Bernie Sanders is facing a medical issue:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) underwent emergency heart surgery, installing two stents in an artery, and has canceled all campaign events “until further notice,” his campaign announced Wednesday morning.

Sanders’ Senior Advisor Jeff Weaver said in an emailed statement that Sanders, 78, “experienced some chest discomfort” during a campaign event on Tuesday. A medical evaluation determined that he had a blockage in an artery, and two stents were “successfully inserted.”

Weaver said Sanders conversing and “in good spirits.” However, they are canceling all of his campaign activities until further notice.
It's well within the realm of possibility that Sanders will recover fully, but the question is whether his campaign can do the same. As a real contender, he can't afford an indefinite suspension of events and media face time. It puts his campaign at risk if he misses a weak. Further, there is an immediate perception problem. Voters will wonder, fairly, "is he physically up to the job?" It's not necessarily fair because he could recover fully but the perception may not follow suit. It's a fair perception because you cannot really know, but it is not necessarily fair to Bernie at the same time.

I am no fan of socialist Bernie, but it is an unfortunate development for his campaign. I suspect this is something that drops him back down to the top of the second tier - leaving Warren, Biden as the only contenders in the first tier. Sanders could find himself between that tier with support in the 20% plus range and ahead of Buttigieg and Harris in the 5% range. This could definitely drop Sanders from a barely top tier 16% down to 10%, clearly falling out of the top tier, away from potential recovery to a true contender.

That leaves Warren and Biden in the front runner category. If the Biden scandal pans out this becomes a Trump vs. Warren 2020 general election. Sanders' fellow socialist Elizabeth Warren has an opportunity to seize the nomination by the throat at this point. She will need to go after Biden to do it. It is interesting because with the next debate she will have to decide whether to go after the potential Ukraine scandal involving Biden, or to take the "high road" among Democrats and ignore the scandal.
