Sex Pistols' Johnny Rotten - pro Trump?
This speaks for itself on both Brexit and Trump. Also on Islamic terrorism for that matter.

Did you know? Islamic extremists blew up historic Palmyra
Palmyra is definitely a historical site. But it's not an Islamic one, and apparently, that was the problem. So it's being ruthlessly disassembled.
The Arch of Triumph was "pulverised" by the militants who control the city, a Palmyra activist told AFP news agency.By the way, this happened weeks ago. But it doesn't look good on Obama, especially when he's trying to shut down the detention center at Guantanamo. So while you can hear it on the BBC, not so much on the American mainstream media.
It is thought to have been built about 2,000 years ago.
IS fighters have already destroyed two ancient temples at the site, described by Unesco as one of the most important cultural centres of the ancient world.

The hole in Christianity...is us
The Texas shooters included a convert to Islam that everyone should have seen coming, and it speaks volumes to the hole in Christianity, which is us. Not America, not the West, but Christians.
The attorney who once defended one of two men who opened fire at a “Draw Muhammad” event in Texas on Sunday says she was “shocked” to learn that he was involved in the attack.According to Sitton, Simpson didn’t come from a Muslim family and didn’t convert to Islam until he was in high school. “He said he was running with a bad crowd in high school—smoking, drinking and stuff,” she said. “He said Islam got him away from that stuff.”
Have we become too insular and busy preaching to the choir to reach out where need to do so? Have we abandon the cultural war for the souls of humanity? It sure feels that way, at least in this case. But I do believe this case is symptomatic of a broader problem.
What Elton Simpson says Islam did for him, Christianity should have done. The opportunity was there. And subsequently, it would almost certainly not have led to Jihad. A vulnerable youth - first with drugs, then with Jihad, could have been saved. We should not have let that happen.
As an aside - a liberal judiciary did nothing to help the situation either. After a considerable amount of evidence, he was given probation, despite being flagged as a threat:
Judge Murguia—an Obama appointee on what is often considered to be the most left-leaning appeals court in the country—found that there was insufficient evidence that Simpson’s false statement to authorities involved international terrorism.

More thoughts on the Canadian terror situation
President Obama is still reluctant to call a terrorist a terrorist, because as we all know, he already solved the problem of terrorism when the U.S. military (NOT him) killed Osama Bin Laden. Even when the terrorism happens in other countries, it's not terrorism. Obama has removed the need for that word to exist in the English language. Or any other language for that matter. We should be cleaning up the world's dictionaries by now.
Yes, this was a single shooter incident in Canada. Yes, he had significant problems before his conversion to Islam. Clearly the conversion did nothing to help him with his issues, it simply directed them in a worse, more deadly direction. He was converted and radicalized. That does not happen in a day. There is more to be uncovered there if someone decides to do more than just scratch the surface of this tragic event.
No, he was not connected to the man involved in the recent vehicular homicide incident in Quebec by a radical Islamist convert. But this shooter was not acting alone. More details will eventually come out. I'm not sure if they will come out soon, but there is more to this angle of the story as well. Someone, somewhere is either lying or withholding information. I am certain of that.
There was an account on Anderson Cooper 360 two nights ago in which a phone interviewee said he saw someone similarly garbed near the scene who apparently fled. That is just one account of the incident that needs to be investigated.
The lock-down that took place was for an unusually long period of time for just one shooter who was dead within the first few minutes of events. Police are still tracking others to be sure, even if it is not making the news cycle.
It seems like the story is being sanitized and whitewashed. Either for the purposes of uncovering accomplices (or a network) or else for the purposes of political expediency.

Banning stuff
It's interesting that a lot of people think that the solution for some problem is to ban it. If only it were that easy. It's the equivalent of liberals deciding that mandating a higher minimum wage will solve the problem of poverty. No, it won't. Banning something to take care of it would be a wonderful tool if it worked (and more importantly it weren't abused as a power. then again you could just ban abusing the power to ban stuff). In the poverty example, banning poverty won't eradicate it. That's not to say that the rationale behind banning something isn't being driven by improper motives.

Thursday Hillary Bash - Week 2
Last week I posted a first attempt at a Thursday Hillary Bash. Here's week two's installment, broken down into a few different items.
Installment 2A: Did Hillary get it right on Egypt? Either she was lying, or she was clueless. Watch and see:
Installment 2A: Did Hillary get it right on Egypt? Either she was lying, or she was clueless. Watch and see:
Installment 2B: A bit of not-a-good-week-for-Clinton news indicates her polling has not fared so well in the last little while. Via HotAir last week,, Allahpundit points out the results;
Her leads over Jeb Bush and Rand Paul in hypothetical match-ups have also shrunk to single digits, which is … encouraging, I guess? Despite ample evidence that State knew just how dangerous Benghazi was for diplomats stationed there and did little to demand appropriate security, Hillary’s popularity remains sufficiently strong to keep her ahead of every prominent Republican. What you’re seeing in these new numbers, I think, is less a reaction to Benghazi specifically than to her re-emergence as a polarizing “political figure.” For four years, as diplomat-in-chief, she was even further above the fray than President Above the Fray was. There was residual sympathy for her over losing a tough race in 2008, and she sure did seem to be working hard at State even though her actual foreign-policy accomplishments remain obscure. (She helped put together the “reset” with Russia, which is working out smashingly right now in Syria.) As you can see above, she remains almost uniformly popular with Democrats; it’s Republicans and independents who’ve soured on her a bit over the last three months, her favorables among the GOP dropping from 27 to 18 percent and among indies from 59 to 46 percent. Her topline number of 52 percent remains impressive at a moment when virtually every major politician on the American landscape is in negative territory, but compare that figure to where she’s been over the past five years.
She's still in friendly territory but headed in the wrong direction. This far out, that's a good sign for those of us who don't want to see a victorious Hillary 2016.
Installment 2C: Even Politico is now questioning her coronation.
The rest of Clinton’s record reads like an excruciatingly long CV that seeks to overwhelm with content but out of which nothing particularly impressive pops out.She carpetbagged her way into a safe New York Senate seat but did little that was particularly notable during eight years in which she mainly seemed to be nesting on Capitol Hill until she could hatch her presidential campaign.Though lacking qualifications for the job, she was chosen secretary of state after her failed presidential bid as part of President-elect Obama’s “Keep Your Enemies Closer” strategy — often misinterpreted as a “Team of Rivals” approach — and proceeded to again do little that was remarkable. She worked hard, of course, traveling incessantly, but there never appeared to be any grand plan or theory of world politics going on inside her head. She’ll be remembered more for her failures, including a “reset” button with Russia that was mistranslated and then ultimately failed to work, the ascension to power of Muslim fundamentalism in the Middle East, the failure to protect the U.S. mission in Benghazi, and the editing by her aides of the talking points framing the cause of the Benghazi attack. Meanwhile Iran continued on the path toward an atom bomb and tens of thousands died in Syria at the hands of Bashar Assad, whom she had suggested was a “reformer.”
Not a good few weeks for Hillary.

Go here for now...
Things have been chaotic lately and I have not had any time to blog. I am missing it. Unfortunately it will be a little longer before I have time to get back to regular blogging. In the meantime, I have had some time to read a few other blogs and thought I'd share some links to some interesting and good posts.
I just read on Bob J's Rants an interesting post about Islamic world domination. Here's an excerpt. If you find it interesting, you can read the rest of it here.
I truly believe that this world will soon be ruled by Islam, and I think it will happen soon. With so many people questioning Christianity and turning away from the Bible, as well as Islamic countries and religious leaders doing everything they can do to push Islam and eradicate or marginalize other religions, it's happening already. Islam will take over the world much sooner than we might expect. There was a story on Fox New last week about a college that shut down dorm room Bible study. This was a college in Florida, not Egypt. Almost every day now, you hear about something of this sort. People seem to be turning more and more against Christianity. You can say "well, that's the stupid government and not the people", but in North America we choose our government and leaders. So if people were against not allowing Christmas displays on government property, they should elect different people, or at least speak out against the actions of the government (or college leadership in this Florida case - I'm not sure if this was a government or private college) That’s why I say Islam is going to take over the world if this keeps up. Undermining our own foundations and not challenging the views of a religion that seems driven in large part by radicals is not helping us keep our way of life, it's weakening our ability to defend our way of life...

Muslim justice hypocrisy
Alright, I am officially bitter. No, outraged, and that's saying a lot for me. I'm normally the type to talk through a disagreement, and take a rational approach to problems. Not this time. Sometimes discussion is pointless.
Muslim justice hypocrisy in 60 seconds:
An Afghan mob killed 12 U.N. workers because a pastor in the United States burned a Koran. It's an insult to Islam. Boo freaking Hoo! Not only is it a medieval and brutal overreaction from stupid peasants, it is hypocrisy of the highest order. Why? Does anyone remember them blowing up a statue of Buddha in Afghanistan in 2001? Anyone? Yes a few of us do. The same country that thinks a Koran burning is an affront to their religion deems it okay to blow up a 1700 year old stone statue of another religion. It's not the least bit funny that their reason was that it was an affront to their religion.
[(To see and hear an un-muted version, go to http://www.yoism.org/?q=node/43 and scroll a little more than 1/2 of the way down the page.)]
Islam is not a religion of peace. It is a religion of bigotry, hatred, ethnocentrism and most of all hypocrisy. Either that or it is a religion of peace but is followed predominantly by illiterate, savage thugs. If I'm wrong, where is the international Islamic condemnation of the murder of the U.N. workers? When Muslims start acting like a religion of peace, then maybe we can consider giving them credit for that. Until them, you can call me prejudiced against them. I no longer care.

Tolerance is over-rated
Tolerance is over-rated. At least the type of tolerance that the left is demanding of America. The truth is that the United States is tolerant enough already. When your opponent is radical Islam, tolerance is not needed. In fact, it's not even advisable.

Communism is always infiltrating. Always.
I'm sure many people are aware of how communism has attempted to infiltrate America and Europe using any and all means possible. If you aren't convinced, watch this global warming documentary and take note of the new home for socialism and communism - man made global warming. It doesn't end there. It doesn't end anywhere.

Netenyahu: Radical Islam is World's Greatest Danger
Speaking at the 12th world conference of Russian-speaking press in Tel-Aviv, the Israeli Prime Minister had this to say;
“Most of world terrorism originates in radical Islam,” he said, adding that the greatest danger humanity faces is if the most fanatical and violent ideology attains the most destructive tool of terrorism possible – nuclear arms.
“The greatest tragedies to befall the Jewish, Russian and Ukrainian people, occurred when they did not recognize danger in time. I expect all peace-seeking nations to join hands to stop evil,” Netanyahu said.
Contrast that with Eric Holder, who can not only not admit that, but he can't even bring himself to say "radical Islam".

Dumbest Quote of the Year Makes Wikipedia
You know there's a lot of competition for the stupidest thing said in a given year, and 2009 and 2010 have been especially ripe with dumb comments. But this has to be a contender for the 2010 competition and for now, it's the odds-on favorite.

Free Speech Denied In Miami by... Muslims
According to Human Events,
In an outrageous denial of free speech rights, Miami-Dade Transit last week forced the removal of a “Leaving Islam” ad campaign on Miami buses because the ads might be “offensive to Islam.”
The Freedom Defense Initiative, the new organization I have begun with bestselling author and Jihad Watch director Robert Spencer, and the group Stop Islamization of America started the ad campaign as a defense of religious freedom.
Our ad asked, “Fatwa on your head? Is your family or community threatening you? Leaving Islam? Got questions? Get answers! RefugefromIslam.com.”
It was the first time anyone offered public help to people threatened under Islam’s death penalty for apostasy.
The religion of peace through intimidation. It's hard not to come across as an Islamophobe while clearly pointing out a problem, but things like this need to be pointed out. If intolerance is tolerated only in certain quarters, as many liberals would have it, then society is guaranteed to fail. The continuation of this type of one-sided intolerance is a dangerous trajectory for America.

Barack Obama gets an 'F' for protecting Americans
Over in England, the Telegraph gets it - Barack Obama is failing in his duty to protect the citizenry of the United States.
Barack Obama gets an 'F' for protecting Americans
The two most salient points for me:
More American journalists better start understanding the diabolical nature of these jihadists and the insidious nature of Islamic self-tolerance, along with the reticence of the President to do something about it sooner than too late, or the too much of the public will be fooled into disinterest while time runs out on freedom.
Barack Obama gets an 'F' for protecting Americans
The two most salient points for me:
4. In his studied desire to be the unBush by responding coolly to events like this, Obama is dangerously close to failing as a leader. Yes, it is good not to shoot from the hip and make broad assertions without the facts. But Obama took three days before speaking to the American people, emerging on Monday in between golf and tennis games in Hawaii to deliver a rather tepid address that significantly underplayed what happened. He described Abdulmutallab as an “isolated extremist” who “allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device on his body” – phrases that indicate a legalistic, downplaying approach that alarms rather than reassures. Today’s words showed a lot more fire and desire to get on top of things – we’ll see whether Obama follows through with action. In the meantime, he went snorkeling.
5. There has been a pattern developing with the Obama administration trying to minimise terrorist attacks. We saw it with Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, a Muslim convert who murdered a US Army recruit in Little Rock, Arkansas in June. We saw it with Major Nidal Malik Hassan, a Muslim with Palestinian roots who slaughtered 13 at Fort Hood, Texas last month. In both cases, there were Yemen connections. Obama began to take the same approach with Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. We’ll see whether this incident shakes him out of that complacency. Whether it’s called the war on terror or not, it’s clear that the US is at war against al-Qaeda and radical Islamists.
More American journalists better start understanding the diabolical nature of these jihadists and the insidious nature of Islamic self-tolerance, along with the reticence of the President to do something about it sooner than too late, or the too much of the public will be fooled into disinterest while time runs out on freedom.
Coming Soon: Islamic Europe, Islamic America

This War on Terror thing isn't over just yet. Is a time of choosing multiculturalism or democracy coming to Europe? If so, how long before the same problem comes to the United States?
The problem with hiding your head in the sand and pretending the problem doesn't exist, doesn't make the problem go away. It's not an issue of denigrating or denying another religion - it's a matter of standing up for your own, and your own liberty.
Multiculturalism and it's inevitable offshoot of political correctness encourage further pushes towards extremes - not just with Islam but with any distinct group wanting to be recognized as a legitimate standalone culture. It's the same concept that applies to gay marriage, polygamy or any other distinct group that wants equal rights and equal protections.
That's a frightening video. But the issue is not an isolated group of growing radicals, the issue is a steady shift in the Muslim mainstream towards acceptance of radical ideas, or at least empathy towards them. Islam is becoming more tolerant of it's own radicals. It is not however becoming more tolerant of what it considers infidels - Christians, Jews, Buddhists or any other "non-believers".Put another way, if Islamic nations were as protective of Judeo-Christian rights in their own nations, then the argument could be made that we have not done enough in the West to accommodate Islamic people. Of course the truth is not exactly that.
In that context, listen again to this speech by President Obama to the Muslim world. He talks about the mistakes of the West, and of America. Many of the ears he's (excuse the pun) preaching to, are deaf to his "New Beginning". They see Islam as not only the dominant religion of the world, but as the only religion and the only rule of law. Jihad Watch posted about this issue back in 2004 in a post about the apparently no longer existent Faith Freedom International.
President Obama is playing right into their hands. We in the West are not the crusaders the Muslim extremists want to portray us as, if this notion of Islamic rule is true. If it's true the West, America in particular are in the familiar role of defenders of liberty and freedom.. I'm not advocating the same approach of many of those Islamic extremist who want to "nuke Denmark". What I'm saying is that there really is a War being waged by Terror and a war on Western ideas and beliefs. If you don't want to fight back or at least, the very least, stand up to it and defend your way of living and your beliefs, you will end up with what you deserve. Perhaps without even a shot fired:

Christianity In China: Dead or Alive?
According to official Chinese government sources, there are approximately 14 million Christians in China. Unofficial sources put it as high as 130 million, and the most realistic efforts at enumeration put it at about 54 million Christians in China. That number represents approximately 4% of China's population, and it is growing significantly. That's despite official efforts to restrict it.
This CBS clip from 2007 doesn't do the situation complete justice.
But does it matter what religion Chinese choose? Yes and no. It doesn't matter in the sense that the issue is really that the freedom to choose a religion in China is stifled. While they allow Christianity now, it's only through the government approved version of the Catholic Church, which the Catholic Church itself sees as subverting the role of the Vatican with respect to appointing priests. Other versions of Christianity are all underground still.
In some sense it does matter if Chinese people follow Christianity. Many Muslims claim that Islam is the world's fastest growing religion, while Christians claim that Christianity is. Converting Chinese to Christianity does a couple of things for the West. It provides us some cultural common ground, which is important in a world where China is emerging as a great power. China as an ally would be better than China as the alternative. It also lowers the risk of radical Islam finding a foothold there. Islam is a religion whose sensibilities are somewhat different than our own;
You could argue that radical Christianity is a risk too, but unlike Islam, there is a clear and unequivocal denunciation of radicals within the community. Furthermore, Christianity has as a fundamental tenet freedom of choice. It's the key to the Western world. Free markets, and freedom of religion flow from that fundamental concept.
In any case, China is likely more prone to adopt Christianity as a foreign influence than Islam. It ties into the fact that the Chinese people are interested in owning GM cars, getting jobs in Europe and America and China is producing a growing number of English speaking citizens. It will soon have more than the United States.
Christianity is poised to fare well in China, provided liberalization of freedoms is not halted as per Tianamenn Square or a la the situation in Iran. For the United States and Western Europe that's a good thing. It doesn't solve every problem that exists with China, nor should it. The growth of Christianity represents a symptom of change in that country, not a cause. But at some point it may become part of a snowball effect with the religion leading to a demand for more freedom, and more freedom creating more interest in religion(s).
The Chinese people have started the move from a command economy to a semi-market-based economy, and from a cultural oppression to very limited cultural freedom. That process should be encouraged to continue until the process will push itself along without any help. Christianity will serve as the canary in the coal mine for much of it.

Founded in 622 A.D., Islam is among the newer major religions. But to the non-Muslim world, it sometimes appears inflexible. Clashes between Islamic tradition and Western influence are sweeping the globe.
In Islam, contrary to Western beliefs, the rights of the community are considered more important than the rights of the individual. Women are seen primarily as caretakers of the home, and religion strongly influences schools, government and courts.
