Tolerance is over-rated

Tolerance is over-rated.  At least the type of tolerance that the left is demanding of America. The truth is that the United States is tolerant enough already. When your opponent is radical Islam, tolerance is not needed. In fact, it's not even advisable.

Another contender for dumb comment of the year.

With so many foolish comments flying around this year, it's hard to imagine anything else squeezing into the top 50, but here's another Top 10.  I guess technically this doesn't qualify since it was said in 2005, but it was just uncovered by Pamela Geller.

Ground Zero mosque atrocity

Those who espouse religious freedom as a fundamental right aren't arguing their case for allowing the mosque at Ground Zero of the September 11th atrocity as intelligently as they could be.  But even if they were, they'd still be on the losing side of this one.

Conservative palate cleanser

On my other (occasional) blog The Uncool Whip, I recently posted about Nancy Pelosi's bizarre endorsement of the idea of ferreting out who is nefariously funding the anger over the Ground Zero mosque. Not who is funding the mosque. In her world view, the problem is the people who have a problem with the mosque's insensitivity. If that's not pretzel logic, I'm not sure what is. And earlier today I posted here about Andy Ostroy's liberal anger and the contagion that it is.

A bizarre world view and anger at those who don't share it. The NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) has the cleanser for the conservative palate.

Quick thoughts on recent events

Being busy has kept me from blogging as much as I would like lately. But being on the subway gives me an opportunity to do some mobile blogging. Not that the subway has WiFi. That would be just a little too convenient. In any case, a lot has happened this week while I have been out of contact with my blog.

The expected winners in the Washington primaries offered no big surprise but they did accomplish one thing. They confirmed that the polling seemed reasonably accurate. That's good news for the GOP for the fall as polling is indicating big gains for them and with less than 90 days to go, no sudden trend reversals.

President Obama managed to step, no stumble into the Ground Zero Mosque. It apparently provided fodder for the likes of Harry Reid to go against the President thereby 'cementing' their independent bona fides. Yeah. I don't think that's going to turn the tide - people can see through that. There's no vote involved and no direct implication for anyone outside of NYC. It's easy to say you differ from the President on this one Harry (and anyone else who supported everything the President pushed) but we know how you voted when it really mattered.
