Blog closing - 75% off sale.  Not this blog, I'm shutting down my other, neglected blog, The Uncool Whip which focused on Uncoolness in Washington D.C.  Naturally it featured an awful lot of Nancy Pelosi.

I'd love to keep it open but I don't have the time.  I'd be more than happy to open it up to cross-posts that focus on beltway stupidity (with a slant towards Pelosi specifically).  So while I won't be posting there any longer, if you want to power wash the stupid off the former Speaker/Whip or other Democrats of infamy, let me know and I'll post it there and even mention it here.  

Wishing won't make it go away Nancy. But uncoolness fatigue will.

I put this on my other blog dedicated to uncoolness in politics, primarily as personified by the former Uncool Whip herself, Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi just can't keep quite.  Why should she, she has an opinion on everything and she'll tell you, twice.

Ever wonder why we get idiots in government?

Isaac Asimov once said "Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." Is that an elitist comment or just a good observation? Seriously, have you ever wondered why we get idiots in government?  I mean not just a few, but loads of them.  And I use the word 'loads' deliberately.  The answer is pretty simple actually.  Because anyone with any sort of insight is busy doing something else.  Talented people are busy being an engineer, a doctor, an entrepreneur, a teacher, a soldier, or even an actor. Something.  Anything. 

Conservative palate cleanser

On my other (occasional) blog The Uncool Whip, I recently posted about Nancy Pelosi's bizarre endorsement of the idea of ferreting out who is nefariously funding the anger over the Ground Zero mosque. Not who is funding the mosque. In her world view, the problem is the people who have a problem with the mosque's insensitivity. If that's not pretzel logic, I'm not sure what is. And earlier today I posted here about Andy Ostroy's liberal anger and the contagion that it is.

A bizarre world view and anger at those who don't share it. The NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) has the cleanser for the conservative palate.

Uncool is uncool, regardless of degree

I'm deliberately stepping on the line of political correctness to make a point.

This is a lighter shade of uncool.

Please note my metaphor is COMPLETELY UNRELATED to skin color.  It's about shades of uncoolness.  Given that when I said Charlie Crist was uncool, there was no comparison to George Hamilton, this might seem deliberately racist in that light - but only to the thin-skinned.  However, the metaphor is only about relative uncoolness.

In this case - slightly less liberal, is still liberal. Not cool.

Crist - NOT COOL.

Charlie Crist jumps the GOP ship in a bid for personal greatness.  Way to be a team player Charlie.  Again.

Seriously.  I've been busy today, and haven't had a chance to write.  But I'm counting my blessings.
