CNN is still Climate-Change-Crazy

Extreme weather has been around for millennia, but  CNN is still pushing climate change hysteria. What's interesting is the analyst sharing the details is clearly just coping with the American people finally getting wise to their hype.  He isn't saying people are no longer believing the climate change hype, he's positing that they have given up in the belief that they can no longer do anything to help fight climate change. They are resigned to it being beyond their control, is what he's saying.  

This level of copium is what shows me, CNN at least has not learned their lessons from the Trump win; they are not self-reflecting. They are instead attributing the change to something other than themselves. It can't be them, it's the stupid people. 

It's going to be a long slog to an on-going conservative dominance in politics, but this sort of blinkered view by the likes of CNN can only help their own demise, and the rise of conservative dominance.

FBI - it was not a noose

In the latest hysteria of mass triggering, NASCAR took the hit.  For what, a day? According to the FBI, the mass hysteria for NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was unwarranted.  Not only was it just a garage door pull, it was not even a noose.

CNN is no doubt definitely panicking over president Trump's decision to treat the Mexican border as a national security issue and use the military to patrol the border.  One analyst went so far as to describe it as the military taking to the streets.  Um, no.  Military at the border is a real thing.  Not just on the Mexican border, but throughout history. The Berlin Wall.  The DMZ in Korea.  Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.  Countless other examples exist.

When faced with factual history, apparently left prefers frantic hysteria.  But that's not news, and neither is CNN.

Left hysteria and fake news on Charlottesville

The left-leaning media has tried to rip the president over the unfortunate violent events at Charlottesville. Let's be clear on a few things

(1) President Trump is no more to blame for the violence than Bernie Sanders was to blame for the nut job who was a Sanders supporter and tried to shoot multiple Republican congressmen recently.

(2) President Trump condemned the violence on all sides.  When the media went crazy for him not only condemning one side his response was brilliant in it's accuracy and simplicity:

(3) Those on the ridiculously named Antifa ALT-Left were responsible for instigating the violence and indeed, their agenda is a fascist one.

Tucker Carlson's question about what statue will be demanded next is exactly correct.

Hysteria on the image conscious right

In a recent poll, Rasmussen reports that 29% of Americans regard the Tea Party as having acted in a terrorist type fashion during the debt ceiling debate.  Economic terrorism?  Sure that exists but is caring about the solvency of your country really the same as flying a plane into the world trade center?  No, it's hyperbole.  Ridiculous hyperbole.  But the real problem is that 29% of Americans believe it.  However, what I want to focus on is the reaction on the right, because it strikes me as overly image conscious, and unnecessarily worried.

Don't panic - the earth isn't ending.

On my other blog "The Uncool Whip", a post about the coming death of all of the world's rain forests and the ensuing destruction of bio-diversity and ergo mankind.  We're all DOOMED! Doomed they say!  Too bad (for them) that it's just more hysteria.

Arctic Ice Cap Follies - Continued

Some gentleman on Twitter accused me of promulgating a hoax, by posting about the Arctic Ice Cap rebounding this month.  As much as I'm tempted to hurl insult for insult in this case, I won't. Insults are the tools of the uninformed or desperate.  I didn't make this stuff up. There's science behind it. 

Global warming skeptics are not "morons" for believing science that disagrees with yours. Scientists who provide this information are not part of some vast conspiracy of misrepresentation as you might believe.  They have not been proven to have mislead via there data as have those on the side of global warming believers. They have less to prove than promoters of AGW. Keep that in mind next time you start hurling insults and accusations.  You want science - we've got it.

Gallup: Global Warming suspicion

According to Gallup, people are becoming suspicious of Global Warming hysteria.

The good news here for conservatives is not limited to awareness of the global warming hoax. In fact the best news is that despite a media bombardment and an orchestrated campaign of disinformation, the reality is starting to slowly sink in.

In other words, President Obama can be made human, despite the press deification.

Al Gore, hot air for the planet

Following some bizarre rabbit hole on Twitter, I stumbled across Al Gore and then his blog. Listening to (or reading) this man is maddening. And I don't mean maddening in the way that losing your car keys is maddening -I mean he makes me think of something akin to shaken baby syndrome with him as the victim. [kidding, lighten up Francis]

How this guy has followers is not in question; long ago, Marxists figured out the virtues of propaganda, and he carries on in that tradition. Say a lie loud enough, say it long enough, and it will become truth to many people. The propaganda war is a one-sided battle in America. Conservatives rely on logic and reason to win over people. But in the face of vitriolic hyperbole it becomes harder and harder to win that way.

Here's an excerpt from his latest misguidance (he begins by quoting another Kool Aid drinker);

"For the next two decades or so, the climate will continue to change: Historic levels of built-up greenhouse gases will continue to warm the world -- and spin it toward new patterns of conflict. So we need to do more than simply reverse climate change. We need to understand and react to it -- ordinary people and governments alike -- in ways that avoid conflict. Over the next few years, we may find that climate-change accords and peace treaties start to overlap more and more. And we may find that global warming is heating new conflicts up to the boiling point."

Actually, in a book released last year, The Age of Consequences: The Foreign Policy and National Security Implications of Global Climate Change, Professor Leon Fuerth addressed this very topic in a thorough and thoughtful way, as he has done for years. Leon was my National Security Adviser when I was VP, and is one of the most thoughtful analysts I have ever known. I recommend his analysis in this book. In addition the rest of the book is well worth reading.

Nice choice of advisers Al. Anyway, his laughable point is that global warming will devolve into conflict in many parts of the world - as if humanity's only response to anything is war - except for the enlighten liberals of the Western world of course. And more importantly, as if global warming were even factual. As if CO2 emissions were on some unsupportable level and speeding towards catastrophe. CO2 levels change. The total level of human impact is 0.7% of carbon dioxide, which is a fraction of the atmosphere to begin with. Stop worrying about the sky falling Al, when we've got a bigger problem with the moon moving further out of orbit every day. to the tune of 1.5 inches per year. You know the impact that will have on the tides during the lives of our grandchildren?

Climate Change hysteria cranked up again

AP Science writer Seth Borenstein is at it again. Apparently we are seconds from global warming disaster. Unfortunately there seems to be little science in Seth's Science Writing.

His article starts out with this hysteria;

When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, global warming was a slow-moving environmental problem that was easy to ignore. Now it is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can't avoid.

Since Clinton's inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton's second inauguration. Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it.

But here's an article from 2007 talking about Seth's penchant for apocalyptic verbiage and lack of consideration of the facts;

It would seem that the AP, through Seth Borenstein, whom we have come to know as a man who like to whip up some controversy with his articles on the environment and global warming in particular, has done it again.

Not unlike his previous articles, though, he has also exposed - at the very least - as an exaggerator of the highest order.

It has been across the board been BASHED by scientists who regard this article as fear mongering of the worst kind. To me, it is just another indication of just how desperate the AGW proponents are to forward their DYING AGENDA.

Global warming is simply bunk. If you want to see why, there's documentary proof here.

But specific to Seth's points, if the summer arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California and Texas, what does that mean?

Anybody? Global disaster? How about the fact that there are global ice ages and warmer periods and that seasonal and yearly fluctuation are natural. If the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has been tracking this since 1979, then do you really think we have enough of a historical basis for these crazy conclusions? Do 28 monthly points of data sound like enough to make a predictive model? I wouldn't base my target marketing efforts at my day job on such a flimsy model. But we're required to stop all world efforts because of this? How can people, including some scientists, be such Luddites?
