9/11 - 20 years later
Never forget those who perished. And never forget why those who perpetrated this evil act did so - hatred.

We have not forgotten
If you lost loved ones in 9-11, my deepest sympathies are with you. America needs to be more than just a shining city on a hill, it must be a safe shining city on a hill. For the most part it is, but we must never forget that there are those who would exploit America's vulnerabilities for evil reasons. It harms America and it harms real people when it succeeds. If we forget, we risk more harm. Never Forget.

9/11 memorial
I found this image on Ann Althouse's blog, Althouse. Her reply to a commenter about the memorial was perfect.
I don't think trumped up feeling is necessary, because I remember what the real feeling of that day and the ensuing months was like. It came instantly out of nowhere, and there was no need to summon it up or try to imagine or envision what happened. I remember that feeling and am glad that the even, normal feeling of ordinary life came back. I value that feeling -- normal life -- very much. The terrorists tried to take that away from us, and I'm glad that didn't work.

Tolerance is over-rated
Tolerance is over-rated. At least the type of tolerance that the left is demanding of America. The truth is that the United States is tolerant enough already. When your opponent is radical Islam, tolerance is not needed. In fact, it's not even advisable.

Fire Louis Caldera
Why fire Louis Caldera? Here's why. The Director of the White House Military Office apologized for this, but it should never have happened the way it did. He's culpable and yet again, it shows lack of foresight on the part of the Obama administration.
Even the lib left seems to have a problem with this ill-conceived plan. If Olbermann puts him ahead of Limbaugh then it has to be bad.
And mis-information herself, Rachel Maddow gave it an F;

Pelosi - Global Warming vs. terrorism
Democrat hypocrisy is often a matter of nothing more than personal convenience. The Democrats defended Nancy Pelosi's use of military transportation based on the need for security after the 9/11 attacks.
Democrats however feel the 9/11 attacks are a thing of the past, or have at least moved beyond it - judging by Pelosi's willingness to meet with the terrorist supporting regime in Syria. So why the need for the military transport for Speaker Pelosi? It's a matter of personal convenience. She doesn't have to mingle with the common folk that way, except for maybe a few military personnel. Even that must be tiresome for her.
And don't Democrats believe global warming is the biggest threat to mankind, EVER?
You can skip to 7:35 if you can't stomach the tripe.
So why do this Nancy? Personal convenience? Hypocrisy in plain sight. Yuck.
