Pelosi - Global Warming vs. terrorism

Democrat hypocrisy is often a matter of nothing more than personal convenience. The Democrats defended Nancy Pelosi's use of military transportation based on the need for security after the 9/11 attacks.

Democrats however feel the 9/11 attacks are a thing of the past, or have at least moved beyond it - judging by Pelosi's willingness to meet with the terrorist supporting regime in Syria. So why the need for the military transport for Speaker Pelosi? It's a matter of personal convenience. She doesn't have to mingle with the common folk that way, except for maybe a few military personnel. Even that must be tiresome for her.

And don't Democrats believe global warming is the biggest threat to mankind, EVER?

You can skip to 7:35 if you can't stomach the tripe.

So why do this Nancy? Personal convenience? Hypocrisy in plain sight. Yuck.

  1. Combating climate change may not be a question of who will carry the burden but could instead be a rush for the benefits, according to new economic modeling presented at “Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges & Decisions” hosted by the University of Copenhagen.

Contrary to current cost models for lowering greenhouse gases emissions and fighting climate change, a group of researchers from the University of Cambridge conclude that even very stringent reductions of can create a macroeconomic benefit, if governments go about it the right way.

“Where many current calculations get it wrong is in the assumption that more stringent measures will necessarily raise the overall cost, especially when there is substantial unemployment and underuse of capacity as there is today”, explains Terry Barker, Director of Cambridge Centre for Climate Change Mitigation Research (4CMR), Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge and a member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Congress.

  2. We've got to be united to save earth! Earth Hour is practiced at large scale in all developed and developing countries but there has been more publicity and awareness this year, as well as participation from large corporations like http://www.commit21.com/ which is a good sign - that there is still hope and that people still care!

Let's all do this, no matter where you are! Saturday, 28 March 2009. Lights off from 8.30pm to 9.30pm!
