Ultimately I don't know that Donald Trump can win the general election. But he is saying things about issues in a blunt manner and more importantly he's talking about issues in a way that shows he doesn't want America to roll over and die in the face of declining strength. It reminds me of the Dylan Thomas poem,
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Donald Trump is no poet, but the point is: If you accept something as inevitable it will be so. This is the case with the decline of America. If you are not fighting for it, you are abandoning. Trump at least, gets that.
