Chuck Schumer says the quiet part out loud.

Chuck Schumer's stance is that abortion is a right but hey, we need more people so let's boost immigration.

Via Breitbart:

The United States needs more immigration to compensate for declining fertility, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said at a press conference Wednesday...
“Now, more than ever, we’re short of workers,” Schumer said on the Hill at a press conference, which was intended to tout several draft amnesties for illegal migrants... He continued:
We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to. The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the dreamers and all of them — because our ultimate goal is to help the Dreamers [illegals who were brought in by their parents] get a path to citizenship for all 11 million — or however many undocumented there are here [emphasis added].

Breitbart went on to discuss the problem real problem with fertility rates is desired fertility vs. actual fertility.  That's a real and important distinction.  It's worth clicking the link above for the entire read. There are other ways to help American demographics and the available labor force that Democrats don't want to discuss because they don't help Democrats or their donor class.

Schumer's now openly spoken desire is to legalize millions of voters for Democrats and cheap labor for big business.  They are colluding to dilute American jobs, openly.

When Chuck Schumer threatens harm to SCOTUS Justices

Chuck Schumer, ever the slimeball, threatened two Supreme Court Justices and then had a staffer try to claim he was threatening Senate Republicans at the election.  Yeah, nobody buys it, not even Schumer himself who later today tried to walk it back.

Republican Kevin McCarthy reacted:

Schumer attempting to either incite violence or rile up the Democrat base by pretending to incite violence, is vile. It's not the first time he's taken the senate onto the low road.  No matter what senate Republicans try to do, it won't be the last.  Only voters can take care of that.

Chuck Schumer votes NO on USMCA

Democrats in Congress and the Senate cannot even get on the same page on this one.

Media wants to gatekeep president Trump's speech.

I didn't want to get too far into the media reaction to president Trump's speech but there is some scary stuff that they were suggesting as is summarized well in this video, which is otherwise primarily focused on fact-checking Chuck Schumer.

The whole video is great and offers some wonderful debunking of Schumer and his twin wicked-witch-looking response last night.  It's worth watching entirely but the first roughly 2 minutes focus on the media reaction that is tantamount to wanting the power of overt censorship.

It's interesting that Chris Cuomo is willing to say president Trump is not speaking propaganda.  I guess his feud with Don Lemon is his primary cause these days.  But in fighting that battle he has resorted to occasionally spitting facts.

But the rest of the media, deciding to be gatekeepers on what the president wants to say to the people of America is vile. It's also ironic that they want to be gatekeepers on speech (and really, thought) but do not want the president to be a gatekeeper on immigration.  The latter is Constitutional, the former is not, and more importantly it is unethical and immoral.

President Trump's televised address

Last night the president made a televised address and if I recall correctly this is the first time he's done it (I'm not including his State of The Nation speeches to congress).  Given the government partial shutdown over the impasse on the border wall, the administration must have felt there was some urgency to address the issue and share the president's side of the story. Otherwise the president could have remained with Twitter as the primary source of his arguments.

I've maintained that the president should be doing this type of address more often.  Yes, it's scripted which is not his forte.  It's also true that it gives the Democrats a last word rebuttal and the networks a chance to claim he's lying again (and yes that happened).  But it is an opportunity for the president to talk, unfiltered and uninterrupted by the media (I'm looking at you Fake Jim Acosta), and at 9 or so minutes, highly focused and specific.  It's a golden opportunity that's been underutilized by the president so far.

Maybe the president was holding this in reserve and had always planned on shifting the battlefront in order to keep Democrats and the media off balance.  That would be a smart reason for holding off.  You can see that when you see the response by Pelosi and Schumer who looked like a pair of aliens just discovering life on earth in their response.  Or perhaps, the president felt that by holding addresses in abeyance that when he does it, it carries added weight resulting from the rarity of it's use.  Both are good reasons, and even if it was just a preference for Twitter, the timeliness of the change serves both those points and does so in regards to probably his signature campaign issue.

Here's the president's address:

And how did the Democrats respond? With lies and a cringe-worthy lack of charisma and empathetic engagement.

I know a lot of people looking at that were thinking of the painting American Gothic, but in a comic vein, I see it more as this:

Sham Schumer Shutdown Shuttered

Last Friday I pointed out that the government shutdown was a front, or window dressing if you will, for the left Democrat base.  Today Rush Limbaugh was arguing that nothing had changed, and either Chuck Schumer blinked and the GOP have grown a spine, or else there was something in the deal that he was not yet aware of, to get the government back open today.

The Senate Democrats caved - not just enough to get to 60 votes; they got 80+ votes to extend a continuing resolution.  Apparently they will get a  DACA floor vote before February 8th. It won't pass in any Democrat-friendly form.

So what did the Democrats get?  A nod to their base perhaps?  Maybe not.  There seems more and more to be a looming Democrat intra-party fight over how to challenge Republicans in the midterms.  Chuck Schumer doesn't want Democrats being held responsible for the shutdown and the far left wants this to (a) destroy president Trump and (b) not be a Democrat cave in to their minority status.

Grab some popcorn and enjoy, conservatives; either this becomes a brawl or else just enough disarray to mess up any hope for Democrats in the midterms.  Either way, it seems the Democrats blinked.

But Chuck Schumer is worse

Liar. Hypocrite.
I'm mad at Republicans in the Senate for doing nothing on Obamacare (and tax reform, and tax cuts, and the wall etc.). I just discussed it. But for all of that, Chuck Schumer is worse.  The guy who refused to work with Republicans on the passing of Obamacare is now saying that he's willing to work with Republicans to fix it, and that going it alone by the Republicans (the same way Democrats did in passing this boondoggle) is misguided and not reasonable.

Hypocrite.

Hypocrite.

Hypocrite.

Chuck Schumer should be invited to nothing that has to do with anything.  Shut him out of everything.  That's something all Republicans should agree upon. And if there is a Republican who doesn't agree with that approach - they don't belong in the party.
