Brookings Institute nervous as more Russia collusion hoax info comes out

Left wing think tank the Brookings Institute, was involved in the phony dossier that was used to go after president Trump.  They should be nervous today as more info comes out, indicating their involvement.

Phony Impeachment 2, like many sequels, sucks

Phony Impeachment 2, the sequel to the first phony impeachment flop, sucks even worse than the original.  

Let's see, a CIA agent, a registered Democrat gets assigned to the White House and shortly after the rules were loosened dramatically (to the point of hearsay) on what is required as evidence for whistle blowing, the whistle blower talks to Adam Schiff et. al. and submits a complaint against the president.

Post faux-impeachment machinations the media goes into full tilt impeachment hysteria, completely ignoring some profound evidence (including an admission by the man himself) that Joe Biden was doing exactly what they are accusing the president of doing. They ignored the fact that what they are calling quid pro quo from the president occurred after the president had long since suspended aid to Ukraine. They are ignoring the fact that the president of the Ukraine when asked, said he felt no pressure whatsoever.

Nothing to see here folks. Let us tell you what really happened and trust us.

It's no wonder the president is not going to cooperate with Congress on the inquiry without a vote on whether to proceed with an impeachment inquiry (which is an established norm). He's learned that cooperation does absolutely nothing when dealing with Democrats other than getting them to double down.

A secretive Washington firm that commissioned the dubious intelligence dossier on Donald Trump is stonewalling congressional investigators trying to learn more about its connections to the Democratic Party.

The Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this month threatened to subpoena the firm, Fusion GPS, after it refused to answer questions and provide records to the panel identifying who financed the error-ridden dossier, which was circulated during the election and has sparked much of the Russia scandal now engulfing the White House.

What is the company hiding? Fusion GPS describes itself as a “research and strategic intelligence firm” founded by “three former Wall Street Journal investigative reporters.” But congressional sources says it’s actually an opposition-research group for Democrats, and the founders, who are more political activists than journalists, have a pro-Hillary, anti-Trump agenda.

“These weren’t mercenaries or hired guns,” a congressional source familiar with the dossier probe said. “These guys had a vested personal and ideological interest in smearing Trump and boosting Hillary’s chances of winning the White House.”

Fusion GPS was on the payroll of an unidentified Democratic ally of Clinton when it hired a long-retired British spy to dig up dirt on Trump. In 2012, Democrats hired Fusion GPS to uncover dirt on GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney. And in 2015, Democrat ally Planned Parenthood retained Fusion GPS to investigate pro-life activists protesting the abortion group.

It seems Republicans and the Trump administration have gotten off their heels and moved to being on offense. More to follow, most certainly.

One by one by one

The non-controversy surrounding Texas governor Rick Perry is the latest in a string of calculated Democrat mud-slinging efforts to tar every possible Republican presidential contender prior to 2016.  Chris Christie and Scott Walker have already felt the bite of unjust charges leveled against them.  The intention is not to bring down the candidate, but to bring down his (or her popularity).  My guess is that next on the list will either be another run at Mitt Romney or perhaps Jeb Bush.

The end goal is perhaps to be able to broad-brush all Republican as corrupt. But even if that doesn't stick, the notion that each contender is corrupt or sinister, makes 2016 easier for Democrats.

There is no other reason for the charges against Perry to have been brought.  They won't stick.
