Wait, what now? (or Leftist Hypocrisy in America)

My how the left's visions of Russia have changed. Call it evolution if you like, to me it reeks of hypocrisy, combined with the hubris that no one will call them out on it.

Do you recall during the 2012 election cycle we got this lecture from then president Obama to then candidate Mitt Romney?


He wasn't alone - the media wallowed in the glory of the Obama putdown of Mitt Romney. And this was coming from trom the guy who said this (when he didnèt realize he had a hot mic):


But now we have this excellent assessment from the (ironically progressive leftist) Humanist Report on the state of the left today vis a vis Russia.

What changed for the left? Just Trump. They lost an election the knew with certitude that they were going to win.  As a result, their reality shifts to meet the needs of their current argument. How convenient. 

I'm not so naive as to believe Russia's interests don't include undermining geo-political adversaries like the United States. I'm sure the Russians regularly try to hack or influence what happens in America. I'm sure president Trump knows that too. But that's not the concern here, the concern is the hypocrisy of Democrats who mocked Mitt Romney in 2012 for worry about Russia and now see Russia as the biggest boogeyman on earth.

Hot Mic Pelosi is as vapid as she is contrived

Nancy Pelosi on a hot mic gets caught twice saying things she shouldn't.  First she wants to put some real people in front of the cameras.  Then she wants to coach a congressman to remind everyone he's a Muslim.  She's vapid for not knowing she's standing near a hot mic.  As far as being contrived - well both caught items sort of point out exactly that, don't they?

Trump, Hot Mic yawner

Everyone is claiming Donald Trump is done because of an October surprise - Trump caught on a hot microphone talking about women and sex.  Oh, in 2005.  No doubt Democrats and their media cohorts sat on this to release at the most opportune moment.

Not a big deal, outside the beltway.

Frankly, this is another one that I don't think will matter to Trump as long as he does well in the debate on Monday.  Men won't care and women who dislike him enough or like Hillary enough to vote on that basis are already energized and already locked in and likely voters in Hillary's column.  Another factor - Democrats in power are famous for the Friday news dumps when no one is paying attention to the news because it's the WEEKEND.

It makes me think that maybe Democrats and or media liberals rushed this to the front page as soon as they found it.  That doesn't smack of panic at all.  But it doesn't really matter if this was a wasted opportunity or not. The real difference will happen on Monday if Trump performs anemically in the debate. If he does, it's over.  If he does well, then maybe it could have been a Tuesday distraction from positive reviews of Trump by undecided voters.  So either Democrats are worried or the media, and their pollsters are worried.  That's my only takeaway from this.
