Because Nancy knows how to dance.

Around the truth that is.  Here, she took those dancing skills and applied them to actual dancing at Barney Frank's wedding, where they weren't serving Chick-fil-A.

It has a Marie Antoinette feel to it, doesn't it?

Frank talk on Obamacare

Count Frankula?
Barney Frank has admitted Obamacare was a mistake.  Granted, he sees it as having been a political mistake and not a policy mistake, but even that limited admission is telling.

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said he advised President Obama against taking up health care reform following a special election in 2010 that changed Democrats' fortunes in the Senate, saying that he should have instead turned his focus to financial reform...

The outgoing representative from Massachusetts added that after Republican Scott Brown won former Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s seat, breaking Democrats’ filibuster-proof majority, Obama should have backed down: “I think we paid a terrible price for health care. I would not have pushed it as hard. As a matter of fact, after Scott Brown won, I suggested going back. I would have started with financial reform but certainly not health care," Frank said.

2011 year in pictures

Instead of doing a top 10 list, this year I thought I'd do a year in pictures. Below is the political year in pictures, but it's not without some context available. Click the images to read details on the scandalous stories.

Note that these are in no particular order.

Plain awful.

Coming  home to roost.

Hundreds of millions up in green smoke.

Weiner: Used to be a mouthpiece. Add your own punchline.

WTF?  Making Weiner look normal.

Boeing being beaten down by Obama.

Barney Frank retires, finally.
What?  Another Obama scandal?  Yep.

Democrats score biggest lie of 2011 - from a liberal organization.

And finally, there's complicity to consider.  That's probably the biggest scandal of the year - again.

Media bias isn't cool.

Barney Frank - OUT!

I'd like to say not a moment too soon, but actually, this is several moments, several moves, too late;
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) will announce Monday that he is not seeking reelection, ending a 32-year career in the House.

Frank, 71, is the top Democrat on the Financial Services Committee and the architect, with former Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), of the sweeping Wall Street regulatory reform law enacted in 2010...

His legislative legacy is likely to be the Dodd-Frank financial reform bill that passed in 2010 in the wake of the Wall Street meltdown that sent the economy into a tailspin in 2008. Hailed by the Obama administration, the law has drawn sharp criticism in the Republican presidential nomination fight, and one leading contender, former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), even suggested that Frank be jailed, along with Dodd, for their support of the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the lead-up to the financial crisis.
A crisis of his making (in significant part), with a 'cure' of his making, is sure to drive more problems in the future.  Sure, the guy had a quick wit, but he does not deserve praise for his supposed brilliance.  He was part of the problem in the financial mess the country finds itself in now.

Bill Clinton to campaign for Barney Frank

In baseball it's called the designated hitter.  In politics it's called parachuting in a high profile politician or personality to help out a sagging campaign.  Bill Clinton is going to campaign for Barney Frank.  Is Barney Frank really in trouble? A recent poll indicates things are closer than Frank would like.  But Frank should be safe.

What's interesting is that playing defence here for the Democrats means Bill Clinton isn't somewhere else helping out what should be a bubble candidate.  The fact that Frank is being helped really seems like the Democrats are circling the wagons around the core leadership team.  That just means there's more room for Republicans to operate unchallenged in other battleground races.

Oh Man! They just don't get it.

Remember McCaskill not getting the town hall people?

In a blatant show of one-upsmanship Barney Frank actually talked down to his constituents.

Keep it up guys - the Alinsky rule of ridicule is absolutely imploding on you! And you don't even see it.

The Epic Failures of Barney Frank

Barney Frank has assaulted AIG over it's handling of it's finances, given the bailout money provided the federal government to combat the financial crisis. To be sure AIG, granted billions by the federal government with apparently very little in the way of oversight, doesn't seem to feel like it needs to be held accountable to generations of American taxpayers. It's a scandal. Or perhaps it just feels like it is meeting contractual obligations. Nevertheless, at least optically it looks bad.

Upon closer inspection, what looks worse are the failures of Barney Frank in his responsibilities to the American taxpayers. While his actions have not been directly responsible for the poor allocations of billions of taxpayer dollars...wait, they have been.

Example 2: Spend, spend, spend (on CNBC business segment)

Example 3: Decriminalizing Marijuana

Just a sample of the Barney Frank train wreck. Why this guy is not run out of office is beyond understanding.
