The Supreme Court's third major decision of the day, pitches a strikeout for Let's Go Brandon. It's also a strikeout for those who thought they did not have to pay for their own education.

Let's Go bailout?
I've got a lot going on right now, most of it of the headache variety, so I hope you'll excuse the brevity of the posts today. There are a few things worth discussing that I don't have the bandwidth to discuss, so I'm just going to share some videos on the various topics.
First up, the attempt to buy votes with a ridiculous and likely not legal student loan bailout.

Obama Then and Now - Part 236
![]() |
| I'll call you. |
Politico points out that the latest Obama talking point is at odds with the Obama of 2007. Yet another example of how Obama will say one thing, but given the opportunity to actually influence something, he prefers to talk big and act small.
In 2007, then-Illinois Sen. Barack Obama missed two key votes on the student loan interest bill that he now wants Congress to extend.Obama twice skipped the Senate vote on the College Cost Reduction and Access Act when the bill came to the Senate floor first in July and again in September of 2007, according to public records. The bill, introduced by Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.) and signed into law by President George W. Bush, first cleared the Senate in July on a 78 to 18 vote, with Obama as one of only four senators to abstain. Obama did not cast a vote again in September, after the House and Senate had ironed out different versions of the bill. He was on the conference committee assigned to merge the House and Senate versions of the bill.
In other words, student loans are a big priority for the president now that he thinks it can help him win re-election, but when push came to shove back in 2007, he played to form and didn't even vote present - he voted absent.

Here's a silly question
What is this (see page 2101) doing in the latest version of the health care bill at all?
Student loans? Does this presuppose that every student will become a health care worker? Sorry, I just don't get it.
