China, already beset by flooding, earthquakes, summer snows, starvation, several plagues (re-emergent COVID-19 as well as swine flu and Bubonic plague), internal strife and even hostile neighbors and a gold scam, now also experiencing a locust plague. It sounds practically Biblical in nature.
