Midterms Matter: In Texas 32nd District, please support Pete Sessions

President Trump was in Texas last night in order to support Texas senate and congressional candidates.  One of those the president mentioned as a fighter for America is Texas 32nd District incumbent Pete Sessions. The only poll on the district shows Pete Sessions only 1 point ahead of his far left liberal opponent.

What would happen if his opponent won is a frightening prospect:
In Texas’ 32nd District, attorney and former Obama administration official Colin Allred won Tuesday’s Democratic runoff. While Mr. Allred was the more moderate candidate in the primary, and his website promised he would “empower our small businesses,” he has also endorsed “Medicare for all,” a $15 minimum wage and repeal of the Republican tax cuts.

These candidates’ rhetoric may weigh them down in the general election just as much as their policy agendas. Mr. Allred, for example, says the election is “not just Democrats vs. Republicans . . . it’s like common sense versus idiocy.” [emphasis added] He argued Midwesterners who supported Donald Trump were “buying into . . . xenophobia” and worries Mr. Trump “will start a war to cover up whatever he is already being investigated for . . . a war that would end the world.” This may not be a winning strategy in George W. Bush’s home district, which incumbent Republican Rep. Pete Sessions won unopposed last time and Mitt Romney carried by 15 points in 2012.
Common sense versus Idiocy is exactly right. Of course Allred is looking 180 degrees in the wrong direction for each of them.

Pete Sessions is a common sense conservative and a powerful member of congress with a strong voice for the state and the district (and the country for that matter).  While his victory should be a no-brainer, voters cannot take that chance and skip voting.  This might actually be a tight race, despite the fact that there is no reason it should be.

Please support his efforts; volunteer, donate or at least check out his positions on his website. And by all means - vote.

Thank you.
