Here's a quick example of the New York Times spins the story to make President Obama look good. In fact, in this case they are only spinning the headline in President Obama's favor. But it becomes clear after you read the first paragraph.
Here's the headline;
2 Top Lawyers Lost to Obama in Libya War Policy Debate
It would seem the President out-lawyered the lawyers and won a legal discussion because, as we all know, he's so brilliant. But here's the first paragraph.
WASHINGTON — President Obama rejected the views of top lawyers at the Pentagon and the Justice Department when he decided that he had the legal authority to continue American military participation in the air war in Libya without Congressional authorization, according to officials familiar with internal administration deliberations.
He won because he rejected their points because he has the final say. They 'lost'? Really? How about they were ignored.
