Meltdown, Libya, Debt: Obama's Solution - NCAA picks

Obama 2012 run a jog?
Talk of how Hillary Clinton is feeling disenchanted by the Obama administration should come as no surprise. Put her at number 59,000,000 on the list of unhappy Americans of voting age. With problems in Japan, Libya and unfathomable debt on top of anemic responses to situations in Egypt and Iran before that, the President is looking exceptionally ineffectual and he's dragging the country into that realm along with him.  These are trying times and those 3 a.m. phone calls are coming at all hours of the day and night.

The President is choosing to ignore them all.  What the hell, he's got his health care - apparently nothing else matters.  The President has every right to pick NCAA games.  Does that mean it should be something he's doing and so publicly at that?  No.  But it won't stop him.  This ostrich approach to everything is baffling.  If it's about doing something to get re-elected, it isn't clear what.  If it's doing something to solve the world's problems and regain American prestige, again, how is that working for him?  It would seem he's content to be the President who passed health care and then sat around for a few years hoping nobody noticed.  Maybe while waiting for another progressive home run he could hit.

With GOP presidential run season getting started, it may be wishful thinking that the President does nothing for a few years.  Most any GOP candidate would have an easy 2012 run against that.  Still, I'm baffled that the President seems to be content to run out the clock.  Maybe he's finally bought into his own hype.
