Obama lost the support of conservatives early on. Then he lost independents now it appears he's losing liberals too. Sour Times indeed, if you are President Obama.
Virtually no one is seemingly enamored of the President anymore. He can please no one - the right and center are upset about his ultra-liberal efforts, and the ultra-liberals are angry over everything else that isn't liberal enough. Trying to please everyone in some way (though clearly moreso the left than the center), he has pleased no one. The Portishead lyrics to Sour Times must be running through the thoughts of the President:
