Friday Musical Interlude - Down tempo trippy jazz

A mix of what the video description calls Jazzy Hip Hop, but it seems more like just some catchy jazz music with a back beat.  It's a relaxing song sampler for a Friday in any case.

Friday Musical Interlude - Romantic Jazz

Romantic jazz - in Paris, no less.

Friday Musical Interlude - a downtempo jazz version

Downtempo version of Coldplay's The Scientist by Wen featuring Querubyna. Perfect for your lounge.

Friday Musical Interlude - Nightmares on Wax

2006's You Wish, by Nightmares on Wax is a jazzy 1970's vibe instrumental that is definite earworm material.

Friday Musical Interlude - Radioactive (Jazzy version)

Imagine Dragons' song Radioactive in a smoother style with a little bit of beatbox thrown in among the jazz of PostModern Jukebox.  Personally I prefer the earlier half before it goes uptempo.  The latter half is more of a cover version than a re-imagining of the melody, something at which PostModern Jukebox typically excels, and did in the first half of the song.  Nevertheless, a good re-working and I think an improvement on the original - a rare feat.

Friday Musical Interlude - Some Miles Davis for you

I haven't posted many Jazz-themed Friday Musical Interludes.  If any so far, in fact.  Here's one from Miles Davis, Blue in Green from 1959.

Friday Musical Interlude - Thrift Shop 1920's style

More Postmodern Jukebox this week.  This might be my favorite cover they've done.  They've taken the Grammy winning Macklemore & Ryan Lewis rap hit and made it accessible to a broader audience with their 1920's jazz style cover.

The original is catchy no doubt.  But the cover does it better in my opinion.

And the original again for comparison (warning: language content)

Friday Musical Interlude - What Are You Doing On New Year's Eve?

1960's What Are You doing For New Year's Eve from jazz icon Ella Fitzgerald:
