Window Wednesday - The Entitlement Class

Former Hillary Clinton fundraiser and now former NY/NJ Port Authority Commissioner tried to bully police over a police stop of a car involving her daughter.

Caren Z. Turner, a Democratic lobbyist from Tenafly, has resigned as a commissioner from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, after an investigation was opened into what agency officials would only describe as "profoundly disturbing conduct." Turner's resignation allegedly involved her intervention in a recent traffic stop in connection with her daughter. Turner apparently flashed her Port Authority badge in an effort to intercede with police officers on the scene.

The sense of entitlement is exactly what is wrong with government in America. "I'm important, you're not and your rules don't apply or matter to me."  This is the swamp that needs to be drained.

And in this case, it has been.

The youth of today - I despair a little.

Yesterday morning on the train into work (yes, I'm back at work, my personal recession was short lived), a group of university students sat next to/near me. Or rather, in groups of one or two they sat near me over the course of three stations.  Overhearing their conversation was not an option, it was impossible to avoid. Along with the usual talk about parties, music, and a not too surprising lack of talk about their studies, a particular brief exchange when one at a later station joined their group, caught my attention.
