Nope, nope, NOPE!

Elections around the world do not take days or weeks to count, this is an invitation for Democrats to cheat. NO.   DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!

Pelosi to Ryan: Lay down your weapons

Um, no to this hypocritical, laughable demand:

WASHINGTON — Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader, sent a letter on Tuesday to Speaker Paul D. Ryan urging him to bar Republicans from using hacked documents in the campaign, arguing that “defending our democracy is more important than any advantage or disadvantage in this election.”

Why would Ryan agree to not use every tool available to the GOP when Pelosi had no qualms about using the most nefarious tactics available when she could?  No Nancy, Ryan won't agree to it for fear of being called Nancy himself.

Pelosi has even framed the notion incorrectly. Democracy demands that inappropriate activities be not only brought to the public's attention but also questioned rigorously.  Who else is going to do that?  The liberal media?  Excuse me while I laugh.

How about instead we wait until the GOP comments are spoken to see what's in them Nancy?

Say it with me - Republicans are the party of...

(and proudly).

Since the GOP are going to be portrayed in the mid-terms as the party of 'no', I say they co-opt the message.

"When ideas are bad, saying 'no' is good."

"GOP - the party of 'no more'."

"No, means NO!"

"Saying no to tyranny has always been our strong suit."

"The party of No socialists."

"Democrats are the party of NO good ideas, we're still the better choice."

Something along those lines.

The Party of 'NO!'

A quick post today about saying no. Democrats cleverly refer Republicans as the party of 'no'. I say cleverly because when the Republicans were in power, Democrats said no to everything from social security reform to every judicial nominee to come down the pike. Remember the threatened filibusters on judicial nominees under Bush?

There's a number of ways to look at this. We could paint the Democrats as the real party of 'no'. We could point out that the Democrats are actually the party of no good ideas. We could take the tack that the Republican party is a party of ideas and we have to say 'no' right now because the ideas in play aren't as good as our alternatives. Or, my personal favorite for the current situation facing the country, is to embrace and expand the moniker. The GOP is not the party of 'no' it's the party 'HELL NO! NO WAY! NO HOW! NOT ON MY WATCH!'

Why? Because health care, cap and trade, liberal judges, higher taxes, soaring national debt, and a possible revival of the Fairness Doctrine require such a stance. Yes, it should be tempered with 'why not this idea instead?' But the sentiment would seem to jibe with the popular movement to slam the brakes on this runaway President and Congress.
