Obama's African American Problem.

Forceful.
President Obama is in full re-election mode and it's completely transparent to everyone except maybe the Congressional Black Caucus (Democrats only need apply).  They're just angry that he's not doing enough.  But their issue has become President Obama's problem.

Following his not so subtle rendition of "shut up and get in line", the President is resuming his African American push because apparently it didn't go so well. As Maxine Waters indicates in this interview:

Clearly his work is not done. So he's continuing along with his battle plan which consists of (i) consolidating the base (ii) damning the Republicans for not passing his bill and (iii) later scooping up independent voters based on the idea that they see the GOP in a bad light on jobs creation (i.e. not passing Obama's jobs bill). With regard to consolidating the base, his immediate need is to consolidate African American voters, and he's busy at it;
President Obama is set to be interviewed on BET tonight about how the economic crisis is affecting African-Americans. This will be his first interview by BET and comes as he told blacks at a Congressional Black Caucus dinner on Saturday to quit crying and complaining and "put on your marching shoes" to follow him into battle for jobs and opportunity.
President Obama has faced growing criticism from black leaders who claim that he is not doing enough to improve black unemployment, which is nearly double the national average at 16.7 percent.
He's got a lot of work to do, and it's getting harder - apparently he's also having trouble with campaign donations. He's reaping the results of his progressivist agenda. Guess what Mr. President: America is not a center-left country.
