Obama is twice the man Bush was!

President Obama is twice the man President Bush was - sorta.  Consider the following statistics.

President Bush took 20 quarters of his presidency to get below 40% job approval.  President Obama did it in 11 quarters - nearly twice as fast.  President Bush grew the national debt by a disgusting $4 trillion dollars during his 8 year presidency.

With no fanfare and little notice, the national debt has grown by more than $4 trillion during George W. Bush's presidency. It's the biggest increase under any president in U.S history. On the day President Bush took office, the national debt stood at $5.727 trillion. The latest number from the Treasury Department shows the national debt now stands at more than $9.849 trillion.

Impressive.  That is until you see the stats for Obama. In just 2 years and 7 months Obama has increased the national debt by $3.988 trillion.  He's set to blow away Bush's record, in less than half the time!

During the 8 years of the Bush presidency the average unemployment rate was 5.2%.  During President Obama's tenure to date, the unemployment rate has averaged 9.3%.  That's not quite twice as high, but it's pretty close.

Obama has won all three categories.  I tried to see if perhaps Bush could double up Obama in vacation days taken and redeem himself.  The problem is, unlike the other objective numbers above, apparently there is no consensus of who has taken more vacation time and the media is all over the place on vacation days taken by either president.

I ended up seeing the wisdom in this quote I found on Free Republic;

I was watching a piece on CNN about obama's [sic]vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine, and the CNN reporter said she talked to a CBS reporter who "keeps track of tese [sic] sorts of things", and she said that while obama [sic] has taken 85 vacation days, this was not as much as Bush, who supposedly took 216 days at this point in his presidency. 

216 days is 7 months....out of 17 months? Cannot believe the lies these people spew.....I do not have the caol, hard numbers for number of days, but I do know it was NOT 7 months at this point in time.

So Obama has done a lot of things twice as fast as Bush. Does that make him twice the man that Bush was as president? I guess that depends what your definition of man is.
