Is it just me or did President Obama make that statement sounding more like the teenager who just crashed the car into a tree than the parent scolding the teenager for driving recklessly?
"Yeah, I swerved off the interstate and flew over a ditch and hit a tree, so what? I'm an adult now and you can't make me give you the keys back! I don't want to give 'em back!"
Petulant.
Guess what, they are going to be taken back anyway, because the American people aren't asking for them, they are demanding them. He's saying the Republicans can't have them back, but in a two party system, the Republicans ARE the repudiation of Obama-ism. They ARE the voice of those demanding the keys back.
